Doesn't really matter what you eat, as long as you're in a calorie deficit, whether it be vegetables or McDonalds. Also, Insanity, from what I have been told, is more of a muscle building regime, as opposed to strict weight loss. Plus, I don't get how you expect to substitute food (vegetables and salads) for exercise. You…

Hey man, I feel your pain. It took me until I got to 400lbs before it hit home with me, 7 months later, I'm down to around 290. Try look at it this way, even at your weight now, you're in better shape than me, and I feel in better shape than I have done for the last 5 years. I go swimming 5 times a week, lift weights, go…

Suunto t3c, I'll check that out, not heard of it before, but I'm in the UK, it might not have been hyped up - I'll check Amazon.

I would be constantly miserable if I restricted myself to 1200 calories daily. Exercise will enable you to eat more, which is a good thing. You sound like someone who would benefit from the TDEE -20% plan.

I don't get headaches from food. I do get some dodgy stomach pains though when I eat beef and certain other meats, hence I only eat chicken and fish when it comes to meat. Alcohol gives me headaches, ergo, I've not drunk alcohol for over a year. True story.

I usually use the toilet to urinate in. I'm weird like that.

Looking good! You seem to have done it with such ease, you should be proud of yourself!

Indeed. Well, I think I am going to get an upgraded HRM watch from Polar. I've noticed that whilst swimming, it sometimes loses the signal between the transmitter and the watch. Sometimes when I swim my length, it doesn't update until I stop for a few seconds at the end of each length, so I'm not entirely sure whether its…

I do keep it conservative, that's why I go with my HRM burn reading, even though I think it's wrong. Where my HRM will tell me I burned 400 calories, MFP will tell me I burned in excess of 900 calories! And I like to eat exercise calories back (most of them) I just wish I knew a way of getting a close estimate!
-
I usually eat 80% of my exercise calories back, depending on how hungry I am. I workout 5 times a week, I kind of rely on exercise to be able to NOT restrict myself, I have having to log every tiny morsel of food on days I don't exercise, it gets really tedious.
-
Just to add, the intensity of my swims is quite good. I usually swim my mile within the 45-50 minute bracket, I swim fast and powerful (I'm a good swimmer, had a couple of the lifeguards at where I go tell me I should volunteer to help teach the adult swim classes) I just thought I better add that, so people know I'm not…

I just love the fact I'm not as fat as I was 6 months ago!
-
I love fats, especially the healthy ones, but don't get me wrong, I like unhealthy fats, too! It's all about moderation. Besides, I have some pills, that take out 1/3rd of the fat of whatever I ate, should I eat over 15 grams of it in one meal.

If you eat when stressed, perhaps you should focus on de-stressing yourself? I've never been one to eat when stressed. Infact, I'm the opposite end to you, I eat when I'm comfortable. Will power and healthier food options help me deal with that. Although, I do have days where I eat like a beast and it makes no difference.…

I really do not know how someone can only eat 1200 calories a day. I usually have around 1200 calories for my dinner. One day isn't going to hurt you, it will probably do your body some good, tbh.
-
I feel you on that. I always used to say "I'll start on Monday" then Monday would come, and I would have forgotten I was meant to be on a diet! Lol. The turning point for me was going to my doctor, getting weighed, and realising I was not only the heaviest I had ever been, but I was far heavier than I initially thought! I…

Well, when I see a woman weight training in the gym, I don't really think anything, because she's there for the same reasons as everybody else. In all honesty, I don't think anybody will care. They're there to get fit, just like you.
-
Yeah, the MFP burn estimation is grossly overestimated.
-
Just don't eat them. Look at it as the ultimate test of your will power.

I have to agree, Indian takeaway would be at the top of the list. Along with egg fried rice, deep fried chips and curry sauce!
-
I have pizza quite often, and it's never set me back. Just stop when you're full - don't eat it for the sake of it.

Not too sure how divorcing the person you can't stand isn't possible. What are you expecting from this kind of question? You can't stand your other half, but you can't get a divorce... what can ya do? what can we suggest you do? you can't do the 1 thing you NEED to do.

Processed foods have a lot of sodium in. Food in restaurants do, too. Trying cooking stuff from scratch, using fresh ingredients, as opposed to pre-packed processed stuff.
-
Absolutely not. I actually find logging calories each and every single day after every meal tedious. I often eat the same foods, the same amounts, so I know how many calories I've had and don't need to update my food diary. That said, I do log new foods and exercise, and I also log when I think I may be cutting close to…

As others have said, weight lifting takes time, dedication over prolonged periods of time. You've done a month, and even though you seem disappointed with the result, you yourself have noticed small changes. So just think what you'll notice the month after, and so on. I've been at it 7 months now, and although I had/have a…

Although I'm still obese, I'm so much closer to not being obese than I was 7 month ago! Congrats!

Looks like polystyrene! Gross!
-
Hey man, that's a brilliant achievement. I hope by the time my year is out, I've lost something similar. Great work.

Clearly KittyKat has no idea what she is talking about. Why would someone dish out that kind of potentially damaging advice?

SNAP! I love my Polar FT4, too!
