I'll have to work on the smile, I'm just not very photogenic!

Thanks!

Think I fixed it, tags were in caps!

OK, seem to be having difficulty getting the picture to upload!
-
That is an amazing achievement! Happy anniversary! Can I just ask how tall you are?
-
I don't have an appetite for at least an hour or so after waking up. I enjoy my food, forcing myself to eat when I don't feel hungry would seem like a waste of calories.

I was sore sometimes, but usually it was the good kind of sore, you know? The feeling you get when you know you've had a good workout! @ Mojo - I'll check that out, 624 pages though? I'll need the good luck to get through that!

Funnily enough, I just posted something similar to this. For some reason, when I relax off my healthy eating and exercise, and eat more "junk" and such, I start to lose weight. The human body is a complex thing!
-
Just to add, I'm back on track now. My work hours have been restored to normal and I can once again go swimming multiple times a week, and eat home made food I prepare myself, so to stop me having to eat out, or eat pre-packaged food. It just seems that when I have a break from the healthy lifestyle, my weight seems to…

I know what you're saying. I've been thinking about lowering my weight loss to 1LBS a week. Wanting to start lifting again, but I kind of have a dodgy arm at the minute.

Swimming. worked wonders for me.

I admit, the first 3 months I did exclude anything I would class as "bad" from my diet - completely. However, I did start to eat the odd "bad" thing, and it didn't hinder my weight loss at all. I know calling them "bad" puts a taboo on it, but I did manage to eat them in moderation. Like now for example, I am back on…

Bump!

Pancakes with maple syrup. If I hadn't learnt the technique of "moderation" I'd probably weigh 600lbs by now.
-
Aspartame. Not good.

Good for you, Sherry. I was where you are a year ago, only I weighed 404lbs! Now I'm down to around 275lbs, with 5 days away from my anniversary. Once you get into the swing of things, I would like to suggest you take up swimming (assuming you live to near to or have access to a pool) it has been instrumental in my weight…
-
I started at 404lbs, and after multiple failed attempts at losing weight, I figured I would end up failing this time round. I went to my doctor one day and he told me that if I came back next month and my blood pressure was still as high as it was, then he would have to put me on to blood pressure tablets - which I did not…

I like the Subway salad bowls, but if I'm going for a sub, I usually get the footlong veg patty one. Usually only go for the 6 inch as a snack.

It depends. I'm no expert when it comes to weight training, but from what I gather, if you weight train whilst eating at a deficit, you will maintain your already existing muscle mass, whilst only shedding fat. If you weight lift whilst eating a surplus of calories, you will build muscle - ergo the weight loss won't be as…

The only fruit I can think of that has a reasonably high amount of carbs is bananas, I'm sure you'll be fine with apples and oranges. Fruit is always a healthy option.

That's the way it is I'm afraid. Exercising hard and putting in the hours at the gym is a hobby for a lot of people, perhaps she genuinely was bored and getting her name on the board was something for her to do? It seems a bit irrational you would throw away your progress because of someone else's approach to their name…

Unfortunately I think the loose skin is something you're going to have to deal with. I've lost around the 130lbs mark upto now, plus I have more to lose and I already have loose skin pretty much everywhere. Surgery probably is the only option to make a significant change to it, then again, not everyone has as much weight…

Lol @ giving up fruit. Probably the stupidest thing I've read in the last 10 minutes!

I'm in Liverpool, originally from West Yorkshire.

Because they look good (or so you think at the time)

I usually have cheat weekends (if you like using the whole "cheat" saying) Swim 5 times a week (unless I'm working away) and track my calories, then eat pretty much whatever I like at weekends. Works well for me.
-
Just to add - try weighing yourself on days you have had a day off from exercising. If you're like me, you will notice the scale number drop. Good luck!
-
As someone already mentioned - weight loss isn't linear. You're clearly getting results through inches and you said yourself you feel better for the exercise. From my personal experience, I tend to notice scale weight loss on rest days. I usually swim 5 times a week, and unless I have dramatically cut sodium down, I rarely…

The Polar FT4 is brilliant for swimming and I find it extremely accurate. Just make sure you wash the chest strap every couple of swims so it doesn't start to wear away. In comparison to the Fitbit it's also better, IMO. The Fitbit can track steps, but it can't track the intensity of how the steps are gained as it doesn't…
