See a doctor. However,I can almost assuredly say you do not have diabetes. High blood sugar is a sign for newly diagnosed diabetics. Hypoglycemia could be your culprit.

I lost over 100 lbs eating approximately 1200 - 1400 calories a day. I have maintained that loss for nearly 6 years. It is a lot of trial and error and the journey is not over just because you see the number on the scale you want to see.

Congratulations!!! I am so happy you chose MFP.

You "beat" me. I only lost 112 pounds. Good on you. I have more or less maintained since 2009. It's never over. It's a lifetime of keeping on top of things. Congratulations and good luck with the next phase of your journey.

Eating disorders are very difficult to deal with , as you know. My advice, is to follow the plan set out by your nutritionist and let them "worry" about the results. No one can accurately predict loss/gain. Just follow your plan and don't stress about what you cannot predict or change, as long as you follow the plan. Good…

I have no experience with an ellipitical, although it looks like if you use it properly, it would work. I have had a treadmill, also fondly known as the dreadmill, for over 10 years. I just replaced my old Sears model last year with a Nordictrac and I couldn't live without it. I love it. You actually have to use the…

Unless you are morbidly obese, which it appears you are not, the amount of weight you lost in the last 2 weeks is excessive. Go to your doctor and get advice. We the people of the boards can not give you advice about this. Yes, there may be someone here who has experienced the same thing you are experiencing now, but…

I usually have a cheat meal on date night, about twice a month. I always eat what I want within reason, but on date night, I eat meals that someone else cooks and I cannot always accurately calculate calories. This is a life style choice and not a short term diet. Enjoy your food in moderation.

As a retired paramedic, the lack of underwear wouldn't even register on my gaff meter. You would not believe the things I've seen. As for the underwear question, nope, I don't wear 'em.

I am going to continue just as I am. This is not a diet for me, but a way of life. The moment I think "the diet" is over, I will gain back my weight. Been there. Done that. When I reach my goal weight, again, I will increase my calories slighty, and keep logging my food and exercise so I maintain a healthy weight and…

The first time I lost 100 pounds, I literally left my WW meeting and promptly regained the 100 pounds. So yes, I've been there. The only thing that saved me the second time round, was to stop thinking "when my diet is over". For me, it's a lifestyle change and a way of life. Never a diet.

They have absolutely no impact on your weight loss. Credible athletic shoe stores don't even carry them where I live. It's what you do while wearing the shoes that have an impact on your weight loss, not the shoes themselves.

I am assuming the 160 is per serving, so if you eat all 4 breasts, mulitply 160 x 4.

When I ran my first 1/2, there was a man wearing a t shirt with a slogan on the back that caught my eye and I've never forgotten. "I may be fat, but my fat *kitten* is still ahead of yours!"

I recently watched a documentary on this subject. Quite heartbreaking and devasting to all involved. I applaud your decision to get your own eating and health in order. Regardless how your decisions affect your son, it can only in the long run benefit you both. If you are not healthy, you may not be there for the one who…

I do feel your pain. However, I am a grandma. and I run. Cause I can. Thank heavens I can run and I am a grandma. I have 5 kids, 4 grandkids, I have lost over 100 pounds, not once, but twice, and I snowboard. In fact I teach it. Do you know what's the neatest thing to hear on the slope? My grandson yelling from the…

It was easy this year as it was only DH and I home for dinner. We had roast turkey with pan gravy. Cauliflower, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, mashed root vegetables, steamed brussel sprouts, and homemade carmelized onion cranberry suace. We are both trying to lose some weight and decided to drink our dessert with a nice…

my hats off to you. I do know what it's like to hit the wall and I am so glad you found the strength to finish this. You would have always wondered whether you could have done it, and now you know. You could and you did. Well done!!!

We don't have a problem with coyotes here, but at this time of the year, the bears are close by. I alter my route and time I run to try and minimize the chance of interaction. I agee that a whistle or small air horn could deter them. Good luck

I do Bikram regularly and I do it because I like how I feel after. I log it in as regular yoga, and I know some people believe it burns more calories, but I am not convinced. The people who do well at it, have strong mental strength and not necessarily flexibility or strength. My youngest daughter has jaw-dropping…

I lost over 100 lbs using ww not once but twice. The second time I have been able to keep it off for 3 years this March. I agree with most of the posts regarding the negative aspects of ww. The thing to remember is that any diet only works if YOU work it. I have to be honest and say that I lost my weight using online and…
