For home: Elliptical or Treadmill

So Ive been trying to lose the tons of baby weight that my last pregnancy packed on, and I have three kids 5 and under. The baby is the one giving me a hard time with working out though. She is 9 months old and very attached to me. I tried going to bootcamp classes at 5am , Ive tried going to my gym during the day (this is the one I really really wish would work out, but shes not ready for the daycare there...long story), and also have tried at night. Nothing is working for us schedule wise. Each one is a loooong story so Ill spare the details. (lets just say there is alot of crying involved) lol I also cant just go for a run outside with my 3 kids in tow either (yikes)
So I'm thinking, until my newest baby is older, for the next year, I need to do my exercise at home, during her nap.
Which do you think is better for at home weight loss? Treadmill or Elliptical. If you have a specific brand/machine that you love, please tell me that too!!
TIA

I have no experience with an ellipitical, although it looks like if you use it properly, it would work. I have had a treadmill, also fondly known as the dreadmill, for over 10 years. I just replaced my old Sears model last year with a Nordictrac and I couldn't live without it. I love it. You actually have to use the machine and not let it hold up laundry, for it to have any benefit.0
