  • I am going through the same thing you are. I got off the wagon, had lost almost 20 lbs but then stopped doing what I should be doing and I gained about 5 of it back. I am also getting married in October and want to not worry that my dress will be too tight. Last night I got home, planned out my workouts until the end of…
  • My running goals for 2012: 1) Become a strong/faster runner 2) Run five 5K's through the year 3) Get under 30 minutes in at least one of those 5K's Next year I'll be tackling the half marathon hopefully!
  • This is great, I too have parents who haven't had the greatest lifestyles. I got engaged and told my dad that with how his health is going (I'm a nurse) that he won't be there to walk me down the aisle...he now goes to the gym 5 days a week and is slowly working on it and I couldn't be more proud :)
  • That is awesome! I'm at just under 41 minutes :) You will be under 30 minutes super soon!
  • I am a member, I go twice a week on average just to mix things up. I also use the tanning. It's a great beginners gym, advanced athletes will find it insufficient and I think all should know that. However, as someone who is new I say go for it. I have never felt judged and it's a great mix of people from experienced to…
  • I mix my days up alll the time! Between Turbofire, Kilian Michaels and running outside and going to the gym it keeps me away from a plateau I think and also it helps me not get bored which is a major problem for me
  • Right now we're having only the kids who are in the wedding invited, this includes my cousins daughters (mini bridesmaid and flowegirl) and my niece/nephew (ring bearer and mini bridesmaid). Still deciding about other family members. There are a lot of kids that I don't even know and don't feel like paying for their $10 a…
  • Bears...I bleed Green and Gold!
  • I am proof that online relationships do work. My fiance and I are getting married in 7 months, we met online almost 4 years ago when he was deployed to Iraq. Talked for 8 months before we met in person, spent a month together and then he went to finish his active duty in Germany for 5 months. We made it but i think it all…
  • I think they work and absolutely love mine! It keeps me pushing myself to do more than I did the last time. I also feel good knowing that I know EXACTLY what I'm putting in my body and putting out.
  • I'm 22, work full time as an RN, am in school full time to get my bachelors degree, am planning my October wedding, and workout 6 days a week. Is it always easy? NO. But I decided that I need to do it. I have less times for my hobbies but it's a trade off. My daily schedule looks kind of like this (I work PM shift). Wake…
  • I'm a floor nurse and never log my shifts as exercise, some do, I chose not to. It's my daily life therefore my body is used to it. I only track my workouts that I do before and after work. Hope that helps.
  • I follow the schedule for the most part, always take my rest day from TurboFire but might go to the gym instead. I change my rest days at times to better work with my schedule. I also mix my workouts up and make them work with my schedule, if I have a lot of homework and work that day I do a HIIT workout.
  • I have a bad back due to working as a CNA for years and working in a facility that didn't have the proper equipment to do my job safely. Sometimes I just KNOW when my back will act up, when that happens I usually take an Excedrin Back and Body before my workout, it works like a charm. I also see a chiropractor regularly…
  • My wedding gown! I already have it purchased but I want to rock it! Toned arms and all for my strapless dress. 228 days until I can wear it!! :)
  • I work as a Registered Nurse working with adults of all ages with rehabiliation. Some have been in car accidents, hip replacements, knee replacements and other ailments. I really do love what I do, my patients are great for the most part. I also am in school full time to become an NP eventually, currently working on my…
  • I do TurboFire 6 times a week in the morning, then after work about 3-4 days a week I go to the gym and sweat out my work frustrations for 45 minutes. TurboFire has various workouts including HIIT and Cardio along with a bit of toning. They vary in time from 15-55 minutes. I started orginally in November but I had stopped…
  • I started with TF from the beginning and had no difficulty with it, it takes a bit to get used to the moves but after doing each DVD once on the "new to class" option I had it down :)
  • I am in a VERY similar position as you, working full time as an RN, going to school full time to obtain my BSN and then my MSN-NP, also planning a wedding with two doggies (I too tried to taxes...) It's all a lot to keep going with but I'll add you and we can keep each other motivated!
  • I joined Planet Fitness recently, love it so far. I've never had the lunk alarm go off in the gym and I asked the manager about it on the tour and she said they're the ones most embarassed to put it on so they avoid it all costs. I love that it has what I need, basic machines, basic strength training and some extras like…
  • I'm watching One Tree Hill rightnow....except I can't watch other shows during my workout b/c I do TurboFire...but that's a great motivation.
  • I don't worry about it too much, I always figure for me it's more about calories lost. Others might say different but thats just my two cents.
  • Exacrltly, i have every right to live my life during decent hours. If its before 8 i usually check to see if my downstsirs neighbor is home, then proceed on. Plus now my new neighbor is younger so they dont seem to mind..
  • I don't track working as a nurse, I figure it's my everyday life so it's not really burning as many calories as some regular cardio does. I only track my other workouts.
  • I believe biggest loser does a calorie count while you're working out...I just did one day of it so far. Otherwise a HRM is the way to go, mine is my best friend! When in down it'll tell you what's going on...
  • I love love love my HRM. It helps me push myself...I mean who better to compete with then yourself the last time youdid that workout? Definitely recommend buying one!
  • I'm a nurse and I don't lose weight because of my job. I do the same thing everyday, granted some days it's a little more running around. But at least for me my body it's used to that activity. I've been told by some to not count the everyday things like work. So I workout 6 days a week before work (I work 2nd shift).
  • I am an October 19th, 2012 bride :) I just bought my dress a couple days ago and cannot wait to get it. It's a special order so I had to buy it in my current size....tooo much stress to make sure I for sure lose that extra weight (especially with the price) So I'm finding a good mix of losing weight but staying at a size…
