what about rice cakes...they make a nice substitute for breads...also, try Maria Emmerich's recipes she will teach you how to make "breads" without any carbs/wheat in them...I use her recipes all the time!!

I love almond milk too! Biggest plus for me is it doesn't have all the sugar that regular milk has and very low calories! Trader Joes or Silk are the brands I usually buy. Trader Joes has the pantry shelf one so you don't have to refrigerate until you open it. I like the unsweetened vanilla.

Do you take the coconut oil plain? I just got the Trader Joe's brand Sunday, but haven't opened it yet...looking for ideas on how to injest it...I know you can cook wtih it...and I need to warm it to get it to a liquid, but what else should I know??

You can add to your breakfast that you are breastfeeding and it will subract that (actually adds caloires to your total daily calorie intake) so you are to be sure you are getting enough calories...if you are full time feeding exclusively you should add about 500 calories so you have enough milk. Hope that helps!

Totally agree with tangal88. Need that protein to repair muscles and lose the weight. I drink my protein as a snack or sometimes as breakfast with fruit, yogurt and kiefer in them...use the lowest sugar content ones you can find! Almond milk is a great lowcal (40 cal) sugarless alternative.

I try to limit myself to 2 servings of fruit a day and ones that are lower in sugar...berries, apples, oranges, grapefruit, peaches, pears, plums, prunes and red grapes are considered lower sugar fruits.
