Ive done up a few - main problem is I eat breakfast at work - so I can't bring in a blender...and when I have done it at home the added step of a blender just means more things to clean. - I usually just add some coconut oil and a touch of cinnimon I've tried just adding coconut oil to the coffee without blending it and…

Almond flour - look for Almond Meal - it is usually cheaper, not as fine as flour but can be used just like the flour - if you have a Trader Joes they have an Almond Meal that is less than $4 a bag You can also buy raw almonds in bulk and run them through a food processor

That is what I would do - nice fresh fruit - kiwi, berries, etc... and whip up some whipping creme with a bit of vanilla in it... You could also get those little sponge cakes or angel food cake - put a slice with some good vanilla ice cream - spoon fruit over it and then top with the whipped creme... of course you would…

I keep bags of frozen veggies in my freezer as a quick go to. So very easy to cut up some chicken or sausage - saute up in a pan with some coconut oil and some seasonings/spices - steam up a bag of mixxed veggies and then throw in the pan with seasoning...easy peasy meal in under 15 minutes in most cases... As far as fresh…

Agree with PP about the sausage - I eat processed sausage from time to time - but be sure to look at those labels... Get rid of the crappy salad dressing - it isn't doing you any favors - make your own with good EVOO (extra virgin Olive Oil) - I make my own using some EVOO, some balsamic vinger and some spicy brown mustard…

Bread - pretty much forget it...I have tried making a Paloe bread with almond/coconut flour blends and haven't found one that is great... Pancakes - I have found a few that use pumpkin or mashed bananas - they have been OK - but not so wonderful that I feel the need to make the recipe again Deserts - the best brownies -…

I use Standard process vitamins to suppliment what I need - I like this brand because it is made from whole foods and not a bunch of additives or frankenvitamins....because of that it is a true suppliment - if you take the recommended dose you aren't getting 100% of the RDA because they are assuming you are eating as well.…

Paleo is a way of eating that cuts out certain food groups - mainly grains, dairy, legumes (Primal allows for dairy) - and focuses on clean whole foods vs any processed foods Low Carb is basically a way of eating in that someone watches thier carb intake. A lot of people get the two confused and think Paleo is a form of…

I usually keep a few bars of 72% Trader Joes dark Chocolate on hand. This Christmas I bought a pack from Trader Joes called Take Flight- they are 70% and have interesting flavor combos - like cinnimon and chili (OMG so good), sea salt and black pepper. Each bar breaks into 3 little bars - a 1/3 of the bar is under 100…

I think a lot depends on your frame of mind and what you hope to accomplish... if it is just a matter of eating healthier, whole foods and you are fine elsewhere then you probably don't have to account for your food choices. If you are sensitive to certain things then you may need to at least write down what you are eating…

The only time I eat any type of rice is when I have Chinese - and usually it is brown rice. and usually just a little bit... Quinoa - nope too many carbs...I have found some recipies that call for Quinoa I can substitute riced cauliflower

I use half and half and a splash of flavored creamer in my coffee - i've decided life is to short to cut that one little thing out of my life if it makes me happy in the morning... During times I go strict I use coconut milk from a can to lighten up the coffee a little bit...I use the light coconut milk because it was stay…

I haven't read all the responses but Primal is basically Paleo with the addition to dairy products I consider myself Primal because I do use coffee creamer, half and half, cheese, taziki and greek yogurt. That being said - I use the coffee creamer and half and half pretty much on a daily basis (but you are talking about a…

its a veggie...it's acceptable...

I have to suppliment with Vit D - my levels were soooo low the last go round of blood tests I had. A lot of Vitamin D you get from the sun...being a fair skinned person I slather on the sunscreen so not to get burnt = lower chances of getting Vit D into my system.

I don't do very much straight cardio (i.e. treadmill, running, hopping around to a video) - but I do do a lot of HIIT and body strength workouts. I do a Cardio kickboxing...so it isn't steady stream cardio but it does get my heart rate up there... I may do 15-20 minutes of elliptical at the gym 1 - 2x's a week after I do…

I agree with the others = too much fruit can really affect what you are attempting to do. Read up about sugar and carb content in various fruits....the higher the sugar the higher the carb content, whcih could have a hinderence in weight loss - fruit or no... I stick with berries, citrus (those cutie ones are small, low…

Coffee always works for me... If you are getting in a good amount of water on top of everything else...and taking Miralax and things still aren't moving I might see about going to see a Dr.

It is something I am struggling with.... I turned to Primal after spending a good amount of time weaning myself off processed foods and into a Clean Eating type of food style and then paired it down even further with the removal of grains and most dairy (I consider myself primal because I will do things like half and half,…

You didn't say how much you weigh now... If you are focused on eating clean and working out - your best bet would be to find out what your body fat % is rather than focusing on a number on a scale. As your fat % has decreased and you are working out 5 times a month you may actually start to see a stall in weight loss and…

This is the only one I use - LOVE it = I find I drink a LOT more when drinking through a straw

I have tried a bunch of different type of Paleo bread recipes and blah... I have given up on attempting any sort of Paleo bread...for the times I feel the need to have some sort of bread product I just eat the bread product - for me that is about once a month (usually in the form of a bagel) - of course if you have major…

Check with your local store as to where they get it - some fruits and veggies that aren't native to your area are going to have to be trucked...that goes even for places like Whole Foods or fancier markets. My local grocery - even though it is a chain store carries a lot of fruit and veggies that are locally grown (within…

I try and keep my carbs under 80 and my protien above 100 - Fat i don't worry about since my main sources are nuts, avocados and coconut and olive oil
-
I did mine manually what I did was set my calories to 1350 - I do not track things like coconut, olive oil or butter if I am using them in sauting so I put my calories in a bit lower knowing I was probably getting more during the day. I then set my % for carbs so it showed right about 85 or so. Then I set my % of protien…

I don't do crossfit at a box anymore...so I use them for when I go to the gym and for my kickboxing classes. I needed a new pair of shoes so I looked at the New Balance ones mainly because they are relatively flat - which is something you want when you are lifting weights. A lot of exercise shoes have a rather large sole…

You might want to look at some of the Biggest Loser ones - The ones I have (for a few years ago) always had someone doing a modification of the exercise to show how someone with bad knees/ankles can do it.

yes.....so good - it rolls the muscle and acts like a deep tissue massage - works wonderful if you have a tendancy to get DOMS I bought mine at Target and it came with a DVD, but I just looked at You Tube for some basic rolls.
-
a few things - DVDs are good - I started with some of the Biggest Loser ones...some take just 1/2 hour...hard to carve out some time - but you just have to do it. Also if you happen to have a smartphone or a tablet - check out Nike Fitness Trainer app - lots of good workouts with minimal eqipment needed.

I love my New Balance Minimus. I had mine fitted at a New Balance store and wound up with a 1/2 size larger then my normal shoe size. They are super comfy
