Good morning to you and welcome. I'm from Hertfordshire and been on this site since January 2012. The one BIG difference here is the support you get from the pals you make - it really does make such a difference. It's not about being on a diet - it's about changing our eating habits. Feel free to add me if you wish.

Hello, it's me. We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon.... It is truly paradise on earth. It is so different from the other Carribean islands because of the immense amount of vegetation. People are lovely and the lobsters are to die for!!! The only thing I would criticise is the transfer time from the airport to the…

Morning, You have done so well. I think it is important to track everything. It is so easy to forgot what we have had during the day and it certainly seems to mount up!!! Do you do any exercise? What about your portion sizes? Mine were enough to feed an elephant to start with, but i have cut them down dramatically. Just…

Hi there, Maybe your husband is totally out of his depth and reverted to buying chocolate because that is the only way in the past that has made you happy. Talk to him... what you are about to embark on will affect your entire future life. You have to be open and support each other, even if it means hearing things you…

Firstly, and most importantly, well done you for joining this site. I have been here since Jan this year and have lost 50 lbs and I am 51 years old. I am on a daily calorie count of 1200 and I now run 3 times a week and do a lot of walking too, I don't like running and I will never be a runner but the sense of achievement…

Hi there, Welcome to MFP. The support you get from the friends you make is incredible as we are all in the same boat together. In fact, friends made here are often more supportive and understanding than family. I have been here since January this year and have totally changed my eating habits and portions!!! It isn't about…

The support you will get from here will surprise you. It is what makes all the difference as we are all here for the same thing. If you want to add me as a friend, feel free Good luck Sue

Friends shouldn't make each other cry . It's ok if you are both coming from the same angle - that's fine - but when the balance changes you have to be honest with each other - however difficult, awkward and painful that might be. Tell him how you feel and move on. You deserve someone who loves you unreservedly. Chin up.…

Hi Palmer, I've been on MFP since Jan of this year. It isn't about being on a diet but about eating differently. No food should ever be banned. If you want it, have it as long as you make adjustments to your day's food diary. I have also reduced my portion sizes dramatically. The best thing about this site is the support…

I know exactly how you felt. I started the C25K on 16th April this year. OMG.. the D1W1 I thought I was going to die after about the 3rd repetition... so much so I was planning my own funeral, flowers, music etc. I was not a pretty site when I crawled through the front door - red faced and sweaty. This week, for the first…

Well done you... you should be so proud of yourself. I'm on W5D2 tomorrow. You can never say it is easy but the thing that I enjoy the most is when I have finished the day's training. That feeling of "yes I did it" is just amazing. Ok, I am not the fastest runner in the world, but I am doing the time if not the distance!!…

I started the C25K programme on Friday, 13th April of all days. I am not a natural runner and thought I was going to die on Day 1. However, I have pesevered and just four weeks later I can run 8 mins without stopping. Not a marathon I know, but a huge milestone for me. So much so, I created a blog of my training. It is…

Indian or Chinese..... either of which you an make low calorie versions of and they still taste FAB PLUS you can feel virtuous afterwards - a double whammy. Just substitute low fat creme freche instead of cream for curries and how about a spicey stirfry for a chinese?
-
Well done you... you seem to be doing so well. I'm no expert but I would carry on doing what you are doing. I personally do not use my exercise calories but treat them as a reserve if I need to dip into them (which so far I havent!!! Take advice from others by all means, but do what you think is right for you.

Your halo is shining.... sometimes making the right decisions make you feel good!!

Welcome. Feel free to add me if you want. Good luck. The support on here is just incredible..

Well done you!! It is little things that make such a difference as they keep you focused and movtivated. It can be a bit depressing looking at the bigger picture but if you break it down in smaller sections and achieve those, it boosts you up no end.
