Exactly!!!! I'm just SO glad that I'm not the only person going WTF about the WW program.
-
Thank for all of your responses, I think I am going to ditch WW b/c it's a PITA and it's not helping. I agree about the hand-holding. I KNOW how to eat healthy, I just don't... always... do it. LOL You know what I mean... we KNOW the difference between healthy choices and not healthy choices, we just say "f-it" and that's…

I've been logging my food on the WW website since I joined that. I logged on MFP for 10 months prior to that. I have been logging for ever and ever.
-
While a salad makes logical sense, the funny thing about WW is that the lettuce and the veggies are 0 points, so the only points would come from dressing that you might add to it. But since I have 51 points I'm supposed to consume per day, eating a big salad doesn't even begin to cover that 51. Does that make sense? Or no…

You know what they told me about the fruit? "No one ever got fat eating too many bananas." Which honestly, made sense to me when put that way. But geez!
-
OK I just input my lunch for today into my Weight Watchers tracker on their website, and it was 17 points. Considering I have 51 per day that I am supposed to use, I beefed up my lunch with some cheese cubes. So I also logged here at MFP and the total calories for my lunch was 796!!!! WTF!? I had a ham sandwich on 45…

I don't eat a lot of carbs, so I'm finding it hard to get to my 51 goal for the day anyway!! I try to avoid carbs b/c even though my Dr says I don't have IR with my PCOS, I know that carbs are still bad for PCOS'ers. I eat a lot of protein, and the biggest fruit item I eat is bananas. But since they are 0 points on WW it's…

I have heard from other people that the new Points Plus program is bunk. My daily points allowance is 51 - which frankly, seems like a LOT. Like, a whole lot. Especially considering fruits and veggies are 0 points. It just doesn't make sense to me, and after having logged here at MFP for a long time consistently, and…

OH and I do have a food scale, it's a digital one. I like using it especially for meat or fruit when there is no "serving size" on a package to refer to.
-
Well as I am doing Weight Watchers, I have been logging everything there because I am following the Points Plus Program, I haven't been logging at MFP b/c I wasn't going to try to log at 2 places. As for exercise, I combine my elliptical for 30-60 minutes a few times a week with Pilates, which I discovered I really love. I…

I think Louis CK said it best - His doctor was asking him about his diet. The dr wanted to know how soon into a meal Louis felt satisfied and stopped eating. He was trying to understand Louis' eating patterns. Louis replies: "...it's just chaos and awfulness.. It's just desperate constant... 'He's like how many meals and…

40DDD here! Cachique. BEST. BRAS. EVER. Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug sell them. And they have super cute ones. And they constantly have sales, like buy 1 get 1 half off etc. I even scored a bathing suit this year that is Cachique that has a built in bra - like an ACTUAL bra, not just some sewn-in cups. It's an actual real…

People tel my sister in law this b/c she obsessively diets but she is CONSTANTLY CONSTANTLY telling people that she's on a diet, that she's fat, that she wants to lose X amount more weight, that she hates her body, that she's SO hungry b/c she hasn't eaten etc. So everyone tells her to knock it off b/c she's SEEKING…

thanks.... though the molecular structure charts are no help whatsoever, I am currently taking chemistry in college and it's been a rough semester so far. I have no idea what any of that means. But what your point was is basically, the amount of sugar doesn't matter as long as your calories are in deficit... ? So why,…

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This just made my day.

who cares...?
-
... I am familiar. I have the Wii Fit too. My neighbor has it too and she refuses to get on hers b/c it tells her "that's "obese" and she hates it LOL!! Good for you, you're doing great :P

I am a smoothie fanatic. I ♥ my blender, I use it at least twice a day! Fir breakfast, which is usually late-morning for me, I have a smoothie that I just love. 1 banana 1 cup of FRESH strawberries 1/2 cup of plain Greek Yogurt (I use the Kirkland brand from Costco) 1 scoop of triple chocolate whey protein (I get at…

I guess I just don't comprehend how you can retain 4 or 5 pounds of water so very quickly. And I do have a food scale, and I measure everything to the point that my husband makes fun of me for doing it :p I made tuna salad over the weekend and he was like "you are seriously measuring the mayonnaise you put in there?" I…

I am most certainly in a calorie deficit all of the time. If you are implying that I am lying just for the sake of having something complain about - that's not the case at all. And I've been to the Dr. She says that my thyroid, blood sugar, etc. all look great. I have PCOS but it's mild enough that she didn't feel the need…

LOL I keep mine at sedentary too, even though I am chasing 6 kids around the house all day... my house is small and I definitely do a lot of sitting... despite having to get up every 4 seconds lol
-
Thanks Julia, like I said I am just terrified at the thought that I might gain weight if I start eating closer to 2000 or 2500 calories every day!! That would be awful, especially since you gain weight by eating too MUCH, but like you said it's totally counter intuitive. Oi. I hope I get this right sometime soon.

Mirena is the devil. I know a lot of people love theirs, but it has screwed me completely. I got mine after having my youngest son b/c we didn't want another baby right away. But 18 months later, we decided we wanted to try for another and I had my Mirena taken out. Before I had the Mirena I had perfect cycles, no…

You are obviously more interested in justifying and vindicating yourself than seeing what the point here was. I believe that I clearly stated, several times, that everyone has things they want to improve upon and that's okay. That is not the case here, as I said. I am not going to continue to defend my original point when…
-
AGAIN, I am not JUDGING her. I am concerned about her, and YES her constant "I'm fat" makes me crazy. Would it not make you crazy? My GOD this garbage where no one can say anything because they are being "judgmental" is just ridiculous.
-
Well I think that we all have areas about ourselves that we would like to improve, no one is perfect or sees themselves as perfect - and that is fine.
