Tim Horton's chili is 300 cals. It comes with a bun, which I use 1/4 of to dip in the chili. Not a terrible meal at all.

I hear you! When I log riding, I just log the actual time I spent trotting and cantering, and I do my best to always be working. If I'm hacking, I'm not logging it. Would be nice to know, just for interest's sake though. One thing I will say, my horses are getting fewer days off (if I can help it), I much prefer burning…

Great work, you look terrific. Also younger. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, you look great! Very inspiring.

Only one week left... how's everyone doing? I think I am on track for my 30-in-a-row... will do another set today and see.
-
We are entering the final home-stretch... one week to go. How's everyone doing? I have fallen off the wagon, partly due to back troubles early in the month, but will give it the ol' college try for this last week.

Well, my mid-week weigh-in was optimistic apparently. However, I`ve lost another inch, which I suspected as my clothes are all looser. So things are progressing, slowly but surely.
-
Well done - it does feel good doesn't it? I've had a few people make comments lately. One said, "You must have lost 10 pounds, it's so noticeable!" I haven't (yet) but those inches are dropping off & making a big difference.

I figure there is no good way. I have been overweight for quite a while (it wasn't as bad when I was 20 as I thought.... but it was worse the last 3 years than I'd admit). I know I did not take kindly to people discussing or even mentioning my weight to me. The only thing I would do, is take someone up on an invitation to…

I love cereal and have a hard time weaning myself off... just bought a box of Life although my favourite is actually plain Cheerios. However, Cheerios are good if you want milk with something crunchy in it - they don't actually fill you up. It is shocking how much sugar even the "good" cereals have. I compared Froot Loops…

When the gov't gives me back my interest-free loan... I am hoping to finally get a used truck to pull my horse around with!

Bump... just bought unsweetened applesauce today, already have the stevia... these sound great!

With the warning that I am about 4 years behind what is popular in music... I pick one song I really like, and then use Genius to make the playlist for me. Some are great, some not as much! Here are some that I love from my recent playlists: Ready for the Floor Mr. Bright Side (The Killers) Oxford Comma (Vampire Weekend)…

I'm a lawyer. Lots of sitting behind a desk!

Well things haven't been going quite as well for my planks challenge, since I tweaked my back and have effectively taken 10 days off of planks. However, tonight I borrowed The Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga DVD and it gave me a pretty good workout. I was surprised (although I shouldn't have been)! I had to do a lot of…

Myself in my profile & ticker pics. They are there for inspiration :-)

Would your insurance cover a consult with a dietitian or nutritionist? Since you have already done the blood work route, maybe they could see a pattern or something that might help you.
-
Is that 600-700 net? Or total? I am NOT a nutrition expert, but everything I've read says you should not go lower than your BMR (you can calculate that on the Tools tab), and definitely not lower than 1200/day unless you are very short or are doing it under physician's supervision. Otherwise your body thinks you are…

Glad I did this, as I cannot see my original stats on the MFP tools section. Current weight 158.5 Goal weight 135 BMI 28.1 Bust 38 Waist 34 Hips 40 Total inches lost: 2.5  Total pounds lost: 3.5

Height: 5'3" SW: 162 GW (for Valentine's): 152 CW: 158.5 I have lost approx. 2.5 inches in the past 2 weeks as well, so I think I am on track for this challenge!

How's it going everyone? I started the "100 pushups" website program today. It wasn't bad at all. Did a total of 56 pushups, which is more than I have been doing on my own :-)

Do you eat non-wheat bread? You could have french toast with jam/berries/yogurt/cool whip etc.

I would definitely check with your doctor/physio about your knee before choosing any particular activity. That said, I hate running and refuse to do it, so here are the things I have been doing to improve leg strength: -walking uphill on the treadmill (I do intervals/cardio) -cycling, alternating between sitting, standing,…

SophinMaine, I'm not sure. Do you go to a gym - could you ask someone there? I feel that exercises shouldn't physically hurt you. A push-up is using your body weight for resistance - maybe you just need to do a different exercise that doesn't stress that joint, but which will give you the same benefits with more adjustable…

Been there, done that, have the T-shirt. Welcome Mary, here's to a happier, healthier 2012!

Good idea! Here's the link: http://hundredpushups.com/index.html

This program doesn't give out "exercise calories" for strength training. However you can estimate them if you like, by putting in "strength training" into the cardio area. Also, you could call it "circuit training," if that fits. I log what I've done (e.g. 2 sets of 20 pushups) but don't worry about the calories.

So, how's it going? My back has been sore so I have not done quite as much as I'd like... but today did 2 sets of 20. I think I am on track for my goal of (at least) one set of 30!
