Great Job! Very Inspiring. These are the posts that keep me motivated. Thanks for posting

I love this one. My motivation is this: I was hiking near a lake recently and as I finished my hike I saw a man that looked to be at least 85 walking around the lake. He had two canes and a brace on one leg. He was walking at least the mile loop. That amazed me, and everytime I feel like stopping, I think of him and it…

I have not done Turbo Fire, but I love Insanity. It is great cardio with just enough strenth resistence to avoid losing muscle. It is tough at first, but so worth it. If you have done P90X you can most likely handle Insanity. Hey, I'm doing it and I am way overweight and was so out of shape before I started.

I lost about 15 pounds in 6 weeks 5 years ago with Body for Life. I liked it. The recipes were pretty good. I still use some of the principles and recipes now. Good Luck with it.

double chocolate or banana nut with peanut butter = yummy and quick breakfast on the go I have found them at my local grocery store (Bi Lo) and at Target

Those are great NSVs. I would have come out of the dressing room beaming also and I would have come out of the theater skipping. Keep it up!

I do 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day. It seems to help my blood sugar stay level and keep the cravings away. It also keeps me full so that I don't overindulge at night. When I was pregnant with my children (many years ago), I was gestational diabetic and the dietician I met with suggested this way of eating. It worked very…

Excellent post. Great job of laying it all out there. It is nice once in awhile to be reminded of these things.

This is a document written for a world that existed over 200 years ago. It does not exist now and should be revamped [/quote] the speaker above was talking about the Constituiton I have tried very hard to remain quiet on this topic as I think it has gone to the extreme at times on both sides, but I must respond. The world…

Keep up the good work. You are doing well and the scale even shows it. I'm sorry about your dad. Sometimes the people we want most to approve of our weightloss are the hardest ones on us. Keep up the good work and remember, you can always find support here. So here is a hug and some flowers:flowerforyou: to make your day…

I will pray at noon. I can't imagine what the families are going through nor the people that were at the theater. My heart has ached for all involved since first hearing about it.

Welcome to you both. I have been here since January with some ups and downs, but I have stuck with losing weight much longer this time than ever. Even my husband remarks all the time that he is so proud of me for sticking with it. Some tips to make it work, log your food every day and every bite and use the message boards…

I just completed month one of insanity and yes I did gain some muscle tone, but I did not gain any bulk. My clothes are actually much larger than when I lost more weight, but was only doing cardio such as walking/running. My arms are smaller, my legs are smaller, my stomach is smaller and I feel so much better. I still…

Only on month 1 but I like Cardio Power and Resistance (love me some hurdles!!). At first I did not like them, thought I would not make it through them, but on week 4 and I actually like all of them including Pure Cardio (2nd fave)

Could you take left overs to a soup kitchen?

grilled shrimp, pasta (yes pasta and I know to some that is a no no, but I have children and one of them requested this meal this week), marinara sauce and steamed broccoli.

Great NSV! Congratulations!

I will be praying for you and your family. My father worked so hard to provide for us when we were children and God always provided when Dad thought we would not have enough. He even managed to put us all through college and I went to a private college. It is hard, but maybe you could find other ways to save money, such as…

I have always hated my arms also and right now I have wings (I joke and say I am an angel, let me keep the halo and get rid of the wings). I can't wait for answers to your question.

mndamon, thanks for posting this valuable information. I've learned quite a bit today thanks to you.

     I agree with everyone, no quick magic pill to this weightloss thing. Just showing up everyday and doing the right things. I wonder what the results are when people stop taking the ketones? Do it naturally with the right foods and exercise.

I guess you could lose 20 lbs in one month, but then how quickly do you think it will come back on? 1lb a week is a great result. Be proud and keep going. It has been 7 months and I have lost only 25 of the 80 lbs I want to lose. Many of us on MFP are making true lifestyle changes and slow weightloss is a part of that. You…

I don't know where you can get them free, but I will say that once you get started, if you do it everyday like it says, you will see a great difference in your abilities. Every 2 weeks you take a fit test. I can tell a difference in my energy levels and my ability to run after only 3 weeks. I love them and my husband likes…

congratulations. Keep it up. Isn't it an awesome feeling when the clothes fit more loosely? Keep us posted on your continued loss.
