After a setback last month (an old injury reared its ugly head and I am hobbling around), I hope to lose 5 lbs this month.

WOW! Very inspiring. Thanks for posting

you can add me. I am a 40 year old full time working mother of 2 very busy teens. I too have been here awhile but got back into my lazy habits and gained most of what I had lost.

thanks so much for setting this up.

entered my info. Great idea thanks

Hello, I am returning to MFP. I lost over 30 lbs over a year ago, but circumstances and poor choices put most of the weight back on. I am a busy mother of two very active teens. I have struggled with my weight for about 20 years. I am 40 and need to lose 65lbs. I would be glad to walk this journey with you.

I think this sounds awesome and I definitely want to join. I want to lose between 60 and 70 pounds. historygirldd

Bump to read later when I have time to take it all in.

this sounds good so I am bumping for when I can make it

Thanks for your story. I was doing so well on my journey and then hit a road bump. I needed to read this today to give me the courage to begin once again. You look amazing.

I am there with you. I was doing so well. I felt good about myself and getting compliments. I was even getting rid of some of my "fat clothes" and then life got in the way. Sometimes it does seem hard to make the right choices when you are so stressed, but this is the change we are making. No one ever said "losing weight…

bump for later eating. Thanks for posting

For the sake of our country, I hope it is a Romney win. However, I think it is still too close to call. I hope it is not another year 2000 election. I need to actually sleep the night of the election. Check out Dr. Larry Sabato's analysis of the election. I believe he gives a very balanced explanation and analysis with…

A friend that I had not seen in years came to my workplace, saw my picture on the webpage and told my supervisor that I had really gained weight. I think she used some ugly words. It hit hard, and now I am on my way, Thanks friend, according to my supervisor, you are not one, but at least you put me back on the right track…

I only had time to watch the trailer just now, but I will be checking out the full movie when I have time. Looks powerful.

Bump for later

such a way with words. I agree, I would love to see him run for president.
-
I agree with this. I have gone back and forth on wearing shoes for most of my cardio. Right now, no shoes but I work out on an industrial carpet in my pool house.

love this idea. I am the mother of 2 teens and when they were young and whined, I would put them in their room (if we were at home) until they stopped. If we were out (like shopping) I would keep walking and if that did not stop it, I would sit them down where we were and give them a timeout. Whatever you do, consistentcy…

I feared failure and so I kept quitting. Now I understand, each day is a new day and each meal is a new meal. It is not failure to pick myself back up and start over each day. Finally, I've stuck to this journey much longer and am smaller than I have been in over a decade. Stop fearing a mess-up every now and then. As…

I was a band nerd (chief band nerd ( drum major) to be exact. I also ran track and threw shot and discus. But my disappointments came from when I quit cheering for band (hard to cheer at a varsity football game and be in the band.) Some of the girls I had cheered with were brutal. I would not go back to being a high school…

Wow! all that stress would have sent me over the top. Keep it up! One day will be okay. I'll be praying for you and your situation.

I am a total history nerd and I am a girl.

I eat 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day to keep from getting hungry. I make better choices when I am not starving.

I love hiking, but it is not convenient to go on a long hike everyday. I am doing Insanity and like it a lot.

It is like walking on a long journey. Make one small step and then another and then another and eventually you will complete your journey, but it always starts and ends with those same small steps. Just keep doing them everyday regardless and the changes in your body will come. Sometimes the journey will be hard and you…

congratulations!

Just water cold from the fridge, but just plain water.

leftovers from dinner the night before, sandwich and carrots/celery, salad. In a real pinch, school lunch. If I have no time I sometimes have a protein shake. I usually keep one in a mini fridge in my classroom.
