my epiphany: when I am angry, upset or stressed about something, exercise gives me a much better feeling than a cookie or piece of cake ever could.

First of all, your post is inspiring and you look great. Second, ignore him and just keep posting pictures and entries as you lose inches and get stronger. That will show him he is wrong.. Congrats on the results of your hard work.

I personally drink at least 10 8oz cups a day and usually closer to 12 or 14 8oz cups a day. I feel better, my skin looks better and I have more energy.. But as someone once told me "If your urine is an amber color, drink more water and if it looks more like lemonade you are good to go."

see if your local athletic shoe store will "fit" you for the proper shoes. Our local Fleet Feet does that for free and they do not put you in the most expensive shoe. Also, use Couch to 5K's running plan. It is a run/walk plan that you can build up to actually running and you can do each week as many times as you want.…

these are great. soft and chewy and chocolatey

not time consuming if you don't go crazy with it. I get the sales papers on Sunday in the local Sunday paper, cut them (15 mins tops) make my grocery list, go through my coupon holder (maybe another 10 mins.) and then shop at a store that doubles and yet still has good prices. I know some people who put their's in a photo…

don't quit! take a little break and then jump back in. On some of the workouts, Shaun T. even tells some of the people to take a break. Keep it up! Take a break and then jump back in. Each time you complete it, you will be able to do more and more of the workout. If you must, then modify, and always go at your own pace.…

In high school worked at a grocery store, in college worked for an attorney, had children and was a stay at home mom for a few years, back to the attorney's office and now I am a high school social studies teacher. When I grow up (Yeah, I am almost 40 and not grown up yet) I want to go to law school and clerk for a Supreme…

I agree totally. My husband is a type II even though he appears thin to people (He has a little belly and his family is proof that it is somewhat genetic). I have been a "nagging wife" for so long and I think I am finally getting him on track. I am trying to have him eat 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day with small amounts of…

Vita muffing (Vita Top) with peanut butter is easy and can eat on my way to work. Sometimes I will eat an egg on toast or have a protein shake.

I am on week 2 and I love it! love it! love it! Okay while I am doing it I hate it! hate it! hate it! (haha). It is truly the hardest thing I have ever done and I was an athlete back in the day (or 20 years worth of days ago). My husband started it also last week and he told everyone at his work I was trying to kill him. I…

AWESOME!!!! I know you are on top of the world today.

I could not get through the first one. The writing is horrible. It felt like I was reading the work of a high school student.

When I was in college I liked the french fries and strawberry milkshake combination and I loved, loved, loved ham sandwiches that had mayo and doritos on it. So now I really like to take the makings of a taco minus the shell and put it on celery. Trying to be healthier.

You are not eating enough. Also, try adding more protein.

maybe he meant it. You are a lovely girl and if he didn't, who cares. You are getting stronger and better and you are not doing it to impress stupid jerks who are walking while you, strong one, are running. Guess the joke's on him.

bump for later

I am in for 20. That will put me in wonderland and exactly where I need to be to lose 50lbs this calendar year.

Reading the message boards also helps with tips and motivation. Just being here has helped me a lot. I have attempted to diet so many times and quit within three months. Although I am losing slowly (my choice as I want to truly make life changes, not a diet for awhile), I have worked at it much longer this time. I have…

I've been lax the last few weeks, not really keeping up my food diary. So I am in and since this week ends some of my stress (I am a track coach and the state track meet is on Friday - so yay, no more afterschool practices for awhile. I am in. I will think about my goals. But, thanks, you have helped put me back on…

Thanks, I needed this today! What a story. I am a teacher and may show it to my students!

are you getting enough B12. I was always zapped until I started taking a B complex supplement.

My 12 year old son suggested I read the Hunger Games and now I am hooked. I am reading the 2nd in the series Catching Fire. Usually you can catch me reading something by Ted Dekker, James Rollins or Steve Berry. Suspensful and exciting.

Good Luck!! You can do this. Celebrate every victory even the small ones like you ate a meal that was full of nutritious low cal food. Celebrate exercise. Call a friend, I'll be glad to be your friend here. I have totally been there. I got to a point and I could not stay where I was. Like you, I lost and gained and lost…

I put in a whole days worth sometimes in the morning so I have a total plan for the day. It helps me do a better job of staying on my plan.
