I was on it a few years back, and I lost 40 pounds! But, it made me foggy-brained, soda tasted awful, and my hair started falling out!! I also got the tingling in my hands. I hated it.

I use a Polar FT4 and I LOVE it. It is extremely accurate and I never have a problem with it.

MFP is extremely generous with their exercise calories. I use an HRM now to be more accurate.

If you're pair shaped, I can understand how you might be a size 16 still. Your hips and bottom are probably the last areas to lose the fat. Keep going! I don't believe there is any safe and healthy way to lose 2 pounds a week at your size. I am 5'0" and 128.8 pounds, and I am losing .5 pounds a week, sometimes 1 whole pound (yippee). If your calorie burns are accurate and you are weighing and logging your food calories accurately, you will lose weight even if you eat back your exercise calories.

I buy the Jif whipped peanut butter and use only 1 T. That's only 70 calories! :)
