Plateau Info: I don't feel so bad now!

I have been struggling for about the last 8 weeks or so with a plateau and in searching for ways to break through it I have often found people saying to watch for "calorie creeping" or allowing myself to become complacent with my eating and letting my calorie intake creep up. I've also had folks suggest that maybe I'm not working out hard enough or long enough. So in the spirit of actually taking the advice for which I asked (novel idea I know!!) I have been carefully logging my foods and pushing the intensity of my workouts. I've also been adding strength training steadily. I've even tried cycling my calories to mix things up (another suggestion) but the scale hasn't moved. I found this article and it really explains a lot about the plateau and is spot on with the timing.

I think it just made me feel better knowing that sometimes plateaus happen even though you're doing everything right. I can take that knowledge and use it to be more patient with my body (and the scale) while still pushing myself to be healthier and stronger every day. I think this plateau will also condition me for when the time comes for maintenance and I know I can keep the weight off. Hope this helps someone else out there!

I'm in the same boat. I thought I finally broke it about 4 weeks ago when I dropped 2 pounds but now I'm stuck again. Thanks for the post, I know everyone gets frustrated with plataeu's. I told myself to not worry about it but it still bugs me so reading that article helped :)
