  • Earth Balance Peanut Butter is amazing. If you like coconut, the PB with coconut oil is delicious. PB is so high in calorie though I eat it only on the days I walk 7-10 miles and weigh out 2 tbs.
  • "Stop where you're at! You don't need to lose any more weight."
  • Eating less, throwing up more.
  • I can't live without my one. I like the idea of wearing the flex all the time - it's water proof- but I don't know how accurate it is.
  • I always use my fitbit "calories in vs calories out" allowance. MFP is way too high.
  • I have lost 70 lbs just by walking. At first it was short and slow distances - 215 lbs will only allow that. I started going a little faster every day, then a little farther, then farther and faster. I started carrying a camelback filled with water. I park at the farthest spot from the door. I now walk 7-10 miles at a…

  • Not only do I want to snack, the scale goes up 1-2 lbs and stays there for awhile. I've been doing this for 16 months and it never gets easy, you just have manage it. Mind over matter.
  • Congratulations! I changed mine from 150 to 145 to 140. I may go to 130 after that, but everyone is telling me to stop now based on how I look. I've got 5 more lbs, then I'll decide for sure.
  • I've been at this for over a year, and YES it is completely normal to fluctuate from day to day. A lot of people will tell you not to weigh yourself everyday, but I do it to correct any bad behavior that may have occured the day or two before. Good luck to you!
  • I'm 5'2", DD chest, 155 and today I'm retiring my size L shirts today and going out to buy size M. I can fit into M and S but my boobs prevent me from zipping anything up past the girls in a S. I'm currently in a size 12 slacks and jeans, but might be able to get into a 10 - I refuse to have a muffin top so I'll wait. I'm…
  • I use Endomondo. It's great!
  • FitBit coupled with My Fitness Pal is the reason for my success. I've already pre-ordered the Flexbit coming out in Spring. Buying the FitBit was THE BEST $100 I've ever spent.

  • This is 100% true!!!! I love it!
  • I get that way sometimes and my new favorite snack, that doesn't make the scale go up in the morning, is cold grapes and Nearly Naked Popcorn. The sweet and salty are perfect together and they are both super low in calories - 4 cups of the popcorn is 130 calories and 100 grams of grapes is appx 134. I get the popcorn at…
  • The fitbit changed EVERYTHING for me. I use their calorie program since it monitors activity. Basically I follow a calories in vs calories out. It is the best $100 I've ever spent. When people ask me how I lost 54 lbs I tell them about MFP coupled with fitbit, but the fitbit is what is really makes the difference. It…

  • It does make sense. Your body isn't used to all the fiber. Eat the fruit before you eat your meal. I'm a vegan (no animal products at all), have been for two years, and some veggies still make me gassy due to all the fiber. If you're not used to it, it could really jack your system. Don't let that stop you though. They are…
  • For those asking about my "cream" comment. I use soy creamer or almond milk. While they don't individually have a lot of calories it's still adding to the total. This is something that I will do for the rest of my life, but I figured the first holiday would be the hardest. Just like the first Vegan holiday. I'm glad I'm…
  • I've added some of the food I will be eating that day to my diary, but not all of it since I haven't figured out the calories of each dish. Because I'm cooking for two other people not watching their calories, I'm not skimping on the things they enjoy. It's a big enough sacrafice that we are Vegan and don't eat any animal…
  • I weigh myself every day and record it. I want to see exactly what is going on with my body and weight loss/gain. I hear all the time you shouldn't weigh yourself daily, but I don't care, it's what works for me. I've been able to take the ups and downs on the scale without getting discouraged if it goes up one day and…
  • Congratulations!!! You really lost it fast. What was your exercise routine during these past months? I've been at it since January 2, 2012 and I've lost 43 lbs, and have 20 more to go.
  • Sounds like a lot of "can't" and not enough "CAN". I don't have a gym membership - I walk M-F, 3.5 miles at 5:50 in the morning before work because my evenings are unpredictable and no one will want to make plans that early in the morning. You CAN afford healthy food. Shop a local farmers markets, fruit baskets or WalMart…
  • I'm especially cold, that includes all summer long. At work I have a space heater set at 80, and a big sweater ready for the wearing.
  • I LOVE food and eat for pleasure everyday. I just make sure what I have is a small portion or the actual portion size and it stays within my calorie goals. I also don't eat junk all day either. It's a limited thing. I'm a vegan and there are still days, after almost two years, that I get a craving for meat or eggs. I find…
  • Muscle weighs more that fat and judging from your profile pic you've got muscle.
  • It sounds like you need to ditch WW and just track calories through MFP. I started in January and it definitely has worked for me.
  • I love my fitbit.
  • Have you tried the Dayia Wedges? The Jalapeno Garlic Havarti is delicious, the jack is very good, haven't tried the cheddar yet. It melts better than the shreds and tastes better too. You can slice, cube or shred it (shredding gets messy).
  • I'm a vegan, BTW, so half the time I can't eat anything my family or co-workers decide on. I usually just eat before I go...
