I didn't do yoga for a long time because I couldn't find time to get to hot yoga. Then I decided I would give it a shot at home, without the heat, and I haven't missed it at all! I later heard that there were dangers associated with the heat, and the benefits were unproven, so I feel good about going without heat now.

I bet it would fit! They have classes from like 10 minutes up to 90! The more I use it, the more I like it.

I did a practice today called "Sneak into a deep practice". It was really good! She said it was a practice she liked to do when she was tired. She started on the floor with a lot of deep stretching, and then later in the practice did the more vigorous part of the practice.

I know it's frowned upon, but I really think weighing daily keeps me on track. The other thing that helps me is continuing to use MFP daily.

Feel free to add me, odonogc. I've been maintaining for about a year, but I am currently up about 3 lb, and trying to get rid of them.

For me, it's avoiding highly processed foods. I don't go to any fast food joints, but I will eat pizza from a local place. I try to eat fruits, veg, or trail mix for my snacks, and I avoid sugar or any other sweeteners.

Congrats! Giving up sugar is super hard, but I've noticed it really flattens the stomach, if that is a motivator!

I think a person could have a great physique and fitness level with just yoga! I only added pilates because I wanted my abs a little tighter. Thanks for posting!

I only practice at home now, but when I went to studios, I found crowded classes very distracting.

I found the MFP numbers for yoga very low. It calculates 134 for 50 minutes of yoga for me, and I always override it to 200. I actually think that may be a little too high for me now, since I've lost weight and the yoga isn't as strenuous now that I'm doing it every day, but it all seems to even out, so it's all good.

Maybe try a small snack about an hour before the class? Or maybe drink some water with Emergen-C beforehand?

That's so cool, I'm not a 'free form" yoga person at all, I just do my DVDs and hold poses as long as the instructor says. I am useless without guidance!

Yeah, there are definitely cliques around here, it's can be a bit like high school! I'll never be a heavy lifter, a runner, a P90Xer, but I hope to die a yogi!

I do yoga or pilates everyday. Today was Kristin McGee Power yoga. It felt so good, I really needed it. And I bought lighter weights for my next attempt at that yoga with weights dvd.
