I don't understand their 'no judgement' policy when they are judging so many people from the start!
-
That's why you don't take food advice from a fitness instructor!

5am weekends to get to the gym for 6am. Weekends I go after 9am unless I have an early class. It's quieter at those times

The women only gyms I know off are those circuit type ones, so I've never wanted to try. Couldn't do my strength training in one of those. Could just be a UK thing though, never hear of any other kind. I go to Anytime Fitness which has 2 power racks. So far never had a problem with access. I go at 6am at weekends and after…

Same here but only 3-4 times a week

Depending on where my scales are in my flat I can be 40 lbs lighter.
-
At ours we have appointments in advance but usually a week or two then we have emergences and 'sit and wait'. It's not easy getting appointments in the UK
-
Are you all going for 2 lb loss? I'm 5ft 2in ish and sedentary I get 1360 calories for a 0.5lb loss but my TDEE can be to 3000 calories. I can easily eat at 1800

An active job and only 800 calories. I have an active job and no way I could go through the day on that little, I can burn up to 3000 calories on a work day that's a big deficit.
-
Wow a weight limit! Than. God we don't have that in the UK. We'd have very few nurses if we did
-
as the next nearest anytime fitness gym is 22 miles a way I think I'd only be using this one. I shall wait til it opens and have a look around

Oh I won't do crossfit at there prices, I did look into it when I first moved here as it's local. I'm in the UK there is only 1 anywhere near me. Plus it is sessions so I can't just turn up and work out. Neither of these gyms are local both require transport. Another 'local' one is 3.6 miles away. No option will be cheap…

That's a new one for me. I use a treadmill on each gym visit. I actually like running outdoors in the rain/cold than in the hot sun.

I complain about expects of my job all the time, am I not allowed to?
-
Really? What else are we to wear, a chav tracksuit?
-
I'm not too bothered about classes or a pool. One gym I'm thinking of is very much a bodybuilding gym. The gym who runs it has his own protein and sponsors the UKBFF shows. Now that isn't what I want to get into but it has the equipment to get me to where I want to be - healthy/toned/strong etc. I would have to get…

I don't get that, anything that comes from my Fitbit is under 'Fitbit calorie adjustment' I don't have any other activities. EDITED as I wasn't making sense
-
Takes no more time than putting each item into a bowl, I don't see the issue.
-
Someone who has to wash their hands over and over again, someone who has to the locks on the doors multiple times etc
-
But it's not hard to weigh food.
-
Does anyone actually do this?
-
but I don't like yogurt :(

Work days: Brunch (10 or 11am) - salad with dressing and mackeral (400 calories) Lunch (3 or 4pm) - veg and chicken + soya sauce (500 calories) Dinner (after 8pm) - ready meal + slice of bread or chicken + rice (something quick) (600 calories) I aim for loads of protein for breakfast & lunch to keep me going for 12.5hrs.…

Not just me then

Did you calculate 1500 from your TDEE or using MFP? If using TDEE (- 10 to 20%) then that accounts for exercise calories, MFP doesn't and expects you to NET your GOAL. I would say eat as many back so you NET 1500. If your are set to sedentary you probably aren't being a teacher.
-
Doesn't matter where the calories come from.
-
How is that gaining? That is 1.5 lb a week which is fine, please don't expect 3+ lb each week
-
The bolded should be weighed not measured, basically everything you eat should be. Cups should not be used.

Ignore I'm always late to the conversation.
