Hi, I don't know how I missed this post! Happy Anniversary! You really followed through and have been so consistent and that is so key and what I happen to struggle with. Keep it up, I enjoy watching you succeed! You look amazing!

If money really is that tight, there are ways to eat snacks for free. I marvel at all of the free samples of food given out on demonstration days at local grocery stores, Sam's and Costco Wholesale clubs. Call around to the grocery stores in your area and just ask what days/times their sample days are and then stop by.…

Maris, I have comment that your before and after pics are pure motivation! Great work girl!:flowerforyou:

You definitely have the right outlook! If I had stayed more on top of my weight post-baby (he's 17 now!), then I would not be the weight I am now. I am kicking myself in the butt. You are on the right track and such a good role model for your little guy! Keep up the great work!

I like it. It's inexpensive...give it a shot!

So says the Mother of a Son! LOL, I love that!

Be independent and able to support yourself.

That's a tough question. Do you live in a busy city, walking on a busy street? Is your toddler a "runner," always trying to chase after things she sees while walking with you? I live in the suburbs and my son is 17 and was never harnassed and I never had any issues. My Aunt harnassed her toddler while we were on a ferry…

Hi! I'm 5'3" and have 100 lbs. to lose. Maybe we can learn from each other? :)

At the moment, it's Coconut Kale soup and Thai Coconut soup. Trader Joe's has some great soup boxes...my favorites are Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Low Sodium. I have a copycat rcipe for Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana that is amazing. I use turkey Italian sausage and cut back on the potatoes. You just have to watch out for…

Ceviche is a Mexican fish dish where the fish is "cooked" in citrus juice. Usually fresh lime juice. You can find good recipes online, but I like Chef Rick Bayless' recipe. Google "Rick Bayless Classic Ceviche Recipe" and you'll find it. Just be sure to buy your fish from a good fish monger and make sure it's sushi grade.

I like mine grilled simply with a touch of olive oil and lemon pepper or garlic. The grill gives it great flavor. I also like to fry white ruffy/roughy (I've seen it spelled both ways and I get white ruffy from Trader Joe's), in organic coconut oil, but first I coat it in fat free milk and then dip in orange coconut spiced…

Don't let it derail the rest of your day. Just make better choices next meal and move on. Oh, and stop calling yourself names - it's counter productive and just not nice. :) Postive affirmations work much better. "Hashbrowns are good in moderation. Now I will be sure sure to work of those extra calories today!"

I can only give you my experience, which is this. When I eat 1500 calories in high fat foods (think fast food, fried foods, chips, carbs and salty foods) - I gain weight. When I eat 1500 calories in fresh fruits, fresh veggies and lean protein prepared cleanly (no frying... think grilled, steamed, baked), I lose weight, am…

Dr. Oz talks about the benefits of coconut oil. You can cut and paste his You Tube video into your browser or you can just Goggle "Dr. Oz benefits of coconut oil" in You Tube Search and you will find it. Hope this helps! There is no such thing as a stupid question. Good luck with your health and fitness journey! Cricket…

Ask Jennifer Aniston. Of course you can!!

Against All Odds, by Phil Collins. Gives me chills. Love that old movie too. Tears In Heaven, by Eric Clapton. Makes me cry every time. Written for his child who died tragically.

Absolutely. I wouldn't have married my ex-husband (my son's soul would have found me no matter who I married) and would have figured out sooner that taking care of everyone else and not myself too wasn't the way to go.

My goal is 130 right. After I hit 130, I'll reassess. When I was 25 my sweet spot was 125 with lots of lean muscle, so we'll shall see...I'm 48 now with a much different lifestyle. Good luck to you!

I feel for you, but don't give up! Take it slow and steady and definitely go and talk to your doctor. Your body may be telling you something that you shouldn't ignore. I take a Complex B vitamin at about 3pm every day and that really seems to help me with my energy levels. I've heard B12 injections work really well too and…

Thanks! It resolved itself after a few hours, so I suppose it was an update on their part.

McDonald's is super high in sodium and fat. I would cheat on something more tasty that wouldn't set you back as much.

I would like to join this group. :)

Can I just respond to the people that are reposting... it's entirely possible that Tony's not glued to his computer all day. It is Sunday and he may be enjoying the day and will respond when he has time. Or, he's taking his time to craft a thoughtful response to you.... just my thoughts for what it's worth. :)

The veggies I love to eat plain are red bell peppers, grape or cherry tomatoes, zucchini, bibb lettuce, endive, and cauliflower. Great topic!
