My goal weight is the weight at which my blood pressure, stressed heart rate and breathing are optimal for my age as near as I can tell and at which I know I won't have a sick muffin top.

Not sure...It probably has to do with having enough calories to maintain basic bodily function. Extended failure to do so could compromise some essential functions (think: kidneys, heart, brain, blood sugar/insulin balance)...At least that's what I think about. That said, short term fasting or keeping your intake…

Hold on to the sides at first, then free a hand to make normal running arm movements, then the other. Also, you might try to run a little slower at first. Hang in there, you'll get it.

Everything your body does metabolically uses calories to do it and calories are really just units of heat expenditure (reference the laws of thermodynamics? energy = heat, etc.) so, your body expends calories digesting food. There seems to be a sweet spot where you're eating just enough to keep the motor running and yet…
