You've lost 14.5 pounds in 3 weeks!! That's an amazing accomplishment! And you should be very proud of that! With that being said, 2lbs a week is a good, healthy rate of loss. Its not healthy to lose 4-5lbs a week because with that, you will not only lose fat, but also a fair amount of lean muscle..you want mostly fat lose…

Welcome to mfp and best of luck to you in your journey!! We have a lot of great people with a lot of great advice, so I think you'll feel at home :)
-
This is very true :) thank you all so much for your input!
-
Wow! Congrats! That is good news :)
-
Oh yes! I would most definitely pick loose skin over 100+ lbs of fat. No question!
-
That's kind of my question though. Like on the biggest loser and extreme weight lose..sure, those people are severely overweight and have a lot of weight to lose, but they always lose it sssuuupper fast. So I always just attribute that to them losing the weight so fast, so because of that their skin doesn't have time to…

Go under goals, make sure all of your inputs are correct (age, height etc) . At your size you could lose two pounds a week easily without restricting your calories too much. Or, if you wanna give yourself more calories you could set yourself to lose 1- 1.5 a week. Also make sure that your activity level is correct (remember…

^^^^this +1 I started out at exactly your weight and and almost your height (I'm 5'7), and mfp gave me around 1800 calories a day. I think your eating more towards your maintenance calories. Also, I was a BIG fast food girl. But I also learned that the more I ate fast food, the more I wanted it. I had to give it up based…

Thank you all for your responses. I guess I have a but to go before I see changes, but I'm so excited for it ...I'm excited for this journey and to actually keep it off this time :)
-
Yes! This! ^^^ and I can't wait to start seeing the changes in my body! Oh, and measuring, I need to start doing that too lol
-
Thank you so much!
-
Maybe I need to start take my measurements as well, I've wanted to, just dont have a tape measure :(
-
That must be how I am too..cause I've lost 11 pounds and don't see much difference in the mirror..
-
That is awesome!

Fast food is one of those things I had to cut out from the get go. I find that the more I eat it, the more I want it and then it just cascades downhill from there. I have it still like once a month or so, but that's it.
-
I have quite a bit to lose ...about 95 more pounds to be exact
-
OK, that makes sense. Thanks!
-
I don't remember farting either, but I also don't remember it being very good at suppressing my appetite . I would drink one whole drink, then BAM 1 1/2-2 hours later I was starving again.
-
Ok, awesome..thank you everyone!

I just loved food that was bad for me. Pizza, fast food, soda..all of it. And I didn't want to give up all that, go on a "diet" (hate that word) and be hungry all the time. It wasn't until I stepped on the scale and saw the biggest number I had ever seen in my life, that I realized something needed to be done...and now. So…

^^^^THIS!!!!
-
Makes sense. Thanks!
-
Yup, what they said^^^ You can still eat the foods you love, just weigh them and eat less of them. A food scale has really helped me with portion sizes. It also helps with getting a more exact number of the amount of calories you're taking in. So for me, a good scale would be the thing that has helped me the best. Oh, and…

Ok, thanks everyone!
-
It will make it harder to breath during cardio..other than that, no, it should not affect weight loss.
-
I also have 100+ pounds to lose. You can add me as well if you would like!
-
^^^^+1
-
What does Mfp set you at?
-
If you entered all of your stats in correctly then yes, that number should be correct. Although, if you are not losing at a rate you want (I recommend 2lbs a week) you can always go back and lower your calories a little.

Thank you all very much!
