  • I've been in the same place as you, I started over 130, at one point I made it to my goal of 119, but my body always seems to find it's way to around 127 where I plateau. It really depends on what your looking for though - sometimes a goal weight is just an arbitrary number. 1 year ago I started doing cross-training and…
  • I started wearing gloves a few weeks ago and love them! Finally my hands don't hurt during/after workouts, especially ones involving pull-ups, etc. I used to hate having to do those before b/c it was just downright painful. Now with gloves, pull-ups are my new favorite!
  • Thanks for all of the responses! I'm really excited to get it. Do you know where I can buy/order the pouch for my current running shoes?
  • seems to me like you're eating too much of the same stuff. aren't you bored having the same thing for lunch and dinner? You're body will learn how to easily digest that chicken breast and potato and then it wont work as hard to do it. You've got to change it up from meal to meal and day to day.
  • Thank you that all does help. I haven't moved on to Phase 3 eating plan, because I still haven't lost the weight that I intended to, so I was hoping if I can ever grasp the lower carb high protein thing the weight would start to come off. I'm going to start by adding an extra shake daily and see if that can help me.
  • I'm in my last week of Phase 2! I'm super excited to get into Phase 3 and start to see the *real* results. I haven't really had super success so far though. I haven't dropped a single pound or very many inches (I'm small to begin with) but I know there is weight there to lose b/c I gained about 10 pounds in the past year.…
  • I tried mine in the pool one time and it didn't work for me. I have one with a chest strap and it kept slipping so it couldnt keep my heart rate. I also do competitive swimming so the pace was fast, my HRM couldnt keep up hahah.
  • so what you're all saying...is that there is no ---actual food thats much higher in protein than carbs?
  • What are your suggestions for eating the extra protein. I've been working on a 50%protein 30%carb 20%fat for about a week now and am having super trouble getting protein and am continuously going over on my carbs. What do you think I can do you remedy this?
  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  • I have a 2nd hand version of P90X that didn't come w/ the nuitrition guide, can anyone give me any info on it. Or at least for calculating calories and %ages??
  • Thanks everyone for your great ideas!!! I've got 3 or 4 recipes down, now i've just got to decide which one to make!!
  • I took out boneless chicken breasts for dinner but I'm running out of ideas for what to do with them...anyone have some good (healthly) ideas?
  • If I understand what you're saying, I think I have a similar problem. Right where my inner upper right leg connects always pops when i do things like leg raises. The only thing is that i don't get pain along with it. Its just uncomfortable because I can hear and feel it. If i bend the knee of the leg that it happens in, it…
  • Thanks for all of that motivation on the yoga. I didn't like it at first, but I keep pushing through it because I believe that it will yield some benefits that I won't get from plyo, kenpo, or the weight training. After doing it 4 times now, I already notice my flexibility increasing and the postures getting easier.…
  • the first few exercise of AR X (in & outs, bicycles & cruncy frog) REALLY burn in my back---is it because I'm not doing them correctly or because my back isn't strong enough to maintain that position for more that 10 reps?
  • I know exactly what you're talking about! When I do super hard cardio I feel sick to my stomach.....I don't think its any of the things listed above. I think the key words that you mentioned is working out on an empty stomach---even when i work out in the evening---if I haven't eaten since lunch or a few hours after I feel…
  • Sandy, Thanks for those words, your right---and I told myself the same thing this morning when I was looking at my workout calendar. I only have 15 boxes crossed out---I still have a longggg way to go...and I have plenty of time to get where I want to be. I took pictures this morning because I didn't take them on day 1. So…
  • I agree with you, I should re-take my measurements and see how I'm doing in that aspect. I look to the scale b/c in the past year I was at my goal weight, but then i stopped working out for a while and gained back to where I am not...so I know that the weight is there to lose, and last time it "left" much faster---but I've…
  • Hey everyone. So I'm officially 2 weeks into P90X and I'm feeling a bit discouraged. I'm definitely BRINGING IT. I'm eating clean (overall)---doing my best at least...and I'm just not seeing weight come off the scale or much of a difference at all. When did you start to see results and what were they?
  • Jess, Let me get this straight---you've been through the p90x series 5 times...meaning 90 days x 5? Just wanted to make sure that I understood that!?
  • I did Yoga X for the first time this morning (yay for day 4), good god that stuff is ridiculous. How the heck did you do that crazy arm-through-the-legs-grab-the-other-wrist pose??? Congrats! Because that's absolutly amazing! I basically laughed at myself the entire time! I have to say though, I went into it having done…
  • Wow! You guys weren't kidding, this workout is no joke. 2 days down and I am soooo super sore! Kenewayne, you weren't joking about the plyometrics---luckily my neighbor didn't come home until right after we finished the workout, hopefully all the stuff on his walls didn't fall off! 88 days to go and I'm more motivated than…
  • This is one of the best shows on TV. and its just super motivating to push you through another week of exercise and eating healthy. I LOVE the biggest loser!
  • Thanks to everyone for all the tips and advice!! I'm super excited about getting started. I think the one thing we have going for us is that we already have a pretty clean diet. I did weight watchers this time last year which is where i lost the bulk of my weight and I've been pretty good about maintaining the healthy…
  • Hey everyone! I've been reading the posts for a few days, and I have P90X and have been doing workouts on and off during the past few weeks. My boyfriend and I finally committed that we're going to do the entire program starting this week and I'm super excited! I wanted to come here first and get some motivation and hear…
