  • I think it's entirely up to you. Personally I probably would log it, but certainly not obsessively - I'd just make the best guess I could to help me make good choices. I certainly wouldn't judge someone who gave themselves a week off though!! Just make sure if you don't log that you get right back on it the day you come…
  • Really chuffed with it - particularly liked the 40 foot Voldemort!!!
  • I get it more about food - if I turn down a cake or order a salad at a restaurant, people demand to know why since I don't need to lose weight. I used to be almost 30lbs heavier. Trust me, if I start thinking like that, you won't be calling me skinny any more. I like eating healthy. I love working out. I'm sure a lot of…
  • I'm actually kinda enjoying this! Appreciating how I look and feel rather than obsessing over my weight loss!
  • I'm 5'6 - my goal weight is 120lbs, but it's what I call my vanity weight. I'd be happy to be anywhere below 130.
  • Fantastic idea ... I'm going to hide mine in the closet!!!
  • Nice. I haven't lost a pound this week and I couldn't care less - I still feel just as fit, strong and healthy as I did last week when I lost 2. Thanks for this.
  • Generally I think breakfast is a good idea, but I wouldn't make yourself if you really, really don't want it - listen to what your body is telling you! However do you find skipping breakfast makes you hungrier by mid-morning, or that you have less energy? If so I would say try to have something. If you're not hungry maybe…
  • Stomach, then boobs, then arms. I've yet to see any change below the waist, which makes pencil skirts a no no :(
  • God I hope not - I need my morning fix!
  • No problem with sparkling water :) As everyone else has said, just check the label carefully, but usually they are at 0 calories. The only reason I'd say don't drink them is the chemicals they use to flavour them - doesn't bother me massively but if you are after a strictly clean diet they're not ideal. Of course, choosing…
  • Generally my cals look like this: Breakfast - 200 cals (porridge or fruit with yoghurt) Snack - 200 cals (cereal bar) Lunch 300 cals (sandwich and a banana) Snack - 100 cals (apple) Dinner - 500 cals (could be anything!) Usually with the exercise I do this works out around my calories intake :)
  • There are so many conflicting views over the benefits of breakfast - but the point is, if it makes you feel sick, don't have it! The only thing you need to watch is that, if you're starving by mid-morning, you don't binge. As long as you recongise that you will be hungry and have healthy snacks ready, you should be fine.…
  • Do you just do regular crunches? If it's love handles you're worried about there are a lot of exercises you can do for your obliques. I don't know any official names (I just call them the twisty sit ups!) but I'm sure you can find some if you google it x
  • Definitely - your hips and thighs look a lot narrower, and it looks like your waist is slimmer too (hard to tell with the signs!). And of course you're smiling, which makes all the difference! Congratulations!!! Keep going, you're doing amazing!
  • London girl here!! Will send you a FR, and may add some of you other lovely people as well - the people on here are great, but it would be nice to have more who keep the hours we do!
  • Hi! You're welcome to add me - been on for a while now and love motivating people!
  • Anyone's welcome to add me - I started a month ago and am pretty active on MFP!!
  • Hello! Another ex-crash-dieter here after a healthier lifestyle!! Feel free to add me!
  • Another British 20something!! Anyone's welcome to add me, always looking for more friends to make these changes with!!
  • Anyone is always welcome to add me - I'm on here all the time, and love motivating people (I find it's motivation in itself!)
  • Hi, welcome back!! Don't beat yourself up, this kind of thing happens to the best of us. And you're right, it will be different because you obviously have the committment to make it happen. Will send you a FR, am more than happy to be another cheerleader!
  • It's always good to spread the love!! I'll send you a FR x
  • Hiya! I'm 23 and looking to lose 20lbs (though I'd be happy with 15lb), so I'm going with the slow and steady approach too! Anyone's welcome to add me!
  • Hi Jessie! Anyone's always welcome to add me, I'm on all the time and do my best to be encouraging!
  • Anyone's welcome to add me, I'm on all the time! A lot of my friends have gone very quiet as well recently ...
  • My scales do it for me - most accurate method I've found, and they weren't too expensive either!
  • Same as the above, I'm afraid. No matter how much I lose, my thighs remain forever jiggly!! Just keep at it - as your weight goes down over all your thighs should eventually reduce (at least that's what I'm hoping, anyway!). Keep at your lunges, maybe do some squats as well. Pilates have some great exercises for the inner…

  • I think it's fine to do it every so often - you need a splurge sometimes! However I would say to keep an eye on what you're eating - it's so easy to think, "oh, I worked out every day this week, so I can eat whatever I want at the weekend!" Um, no  But thinking "well, I was under by a total of 1000 calories this…
  • If you've not got a gym nearby, I'd say bring something into the house - if you can't afford a treadmill, try an exercise ball or a DVD. That way they're staring you right in the face  I would also say try to get yourself into a routine. Like, I don't know ... Get yourself up at seven, have breakfast, then work out…
