Measuring really helps me. I have lost more inches than I have pounds. I measure every three or four weeks.

I can so relate to some of your journey. I gained some weight when I lost my job in 2008. I started this site in July and I have already lost 22 lbs. The people are very supportive and motivating. You will love it. Welcome.

I was overweight when I got pregnant with both my boys and my doctor wanted me to only gain a limited amount of weight. I did go to the gym and still ate healthy while pregnant under the guidance of my doctor. It gave me energy and I had no morning sickness with either of my boys. Don't be discouraged....try measuring yourself as well because even when you don't lose weight, you could be losing inches.

This site is wonderful. My word of advice is to make sure that you actively participate in the message boards and blogs. They will allow you to build the support system that you need to acheive your goals.

I post my zumba class under belly dancing because the movements are somewhat similar and it seemed the closest to what zumba really is. My class is also an hour long. I LOVE MY CLASS!!!!

I have been doing Zumba now 2 to 3 times a week. One of my friends from high school is an instructor and he does classes 3 times a week. It truly is for all fitness levels.
