Just looking at your success pushes me to continue. Consider your success an inspiration to others, so go reach that goal!

I am in exactly the same spot. Had success here many years ago and made good friends, but I can't figure out how to add you as a friend.
-
Really, really stellar recognition for your hard work. Congrats to you and your wife.

I'm sorry so many people are posting snarky anwers to your legitimate question. I am similar in size to you and MFP has put me at 1300 calories/day to lose 2 punds/week. I, however, feel very hungry on this amount of calories, so I am struggling to stay with it.

Welcome. MFP is a great place to ask questions.

You can do it!!!!

Incredible!

Did you hear about the fire at the circus??? It was in tents.

Thanks for all the ideas. My office is going out for a co-worker's bday lunch today, then tomorrow evening my other employer is taking the whole staff out to dinner as a thank you. So, I will definitely be putting my healthy eating skills into practice.

That is really, really great! I don't think I've EVER been a size 8!

I'm very interested in these responses because you are describing me exactly. Often, I feel like I am 80 years old. I am so achy all the time. I have osteoarthris in my knee and probably elsewhere. I assumed it was something I will just have to live with. I never knew about the vitamin deficiency being a possibilty - about…

I get it. I totally get it. I will try to support you as best as I can. It's very hard to keep momentum going for me. I lose a little, feel a little better about myself and life, my knees ache a little less, then BAM! I'm having a cookie and all hell breaks loose. Log on everyday. Your friends will check up on you, give…

I tried to read it just to be "in the know" with the trend, but, honestly, the writing sucked, so I cast it aside for a better book.

I didn't know what Mummy Kicks were, so I watched the you tube instructin. Now the name makes sense :-). I'll take the challenge.

I understand that you are bored and absolutely wish you could be doing a different job that realizes your full potential. Take a deep breath and take a few minutes to be truly grateful in the moment you are in. Do the job you have to the absolute best that you can every day. Surely, there are more duties you can take on at…

I would have to agree with Kissy and say my sense of humor, becuase truth be told, I amuse the hell outta myself :-)

I would have to agree with people who say networking is the way to go. Are you affiliated with any organizations? If so, keep talking to people. It is tough out there, no doubt. Keep the faith, though and try to keep your attitude positive.

Awesome! Congratulations on your hard work paying off.

You've already gotten some great advice, but I just wanted to say - WOW! Congratulations on what you have already accomplished.

Total transformation! Way to go at it.

Maria, So happy to see you here. As everyone before me has already said, welcome. You are in the right place. You belong here and we all are taking this journey together. I agree wholeheartedly with the advice - baby steps one step at a time. If you try to do everything at once, you will get discouraged and lose momentum,…
