Recently suffered with acute pain in my shoulder that did not allow me to raise my arm above shoulder height. Made washing my hair very difficult! My doctor put me on ibuprofen 800 mg 3 times a day along with pain meds & muscle relaxer. Only took the pain meds/muscle relaxer once because it wiped me out but the ibuprofen…

Hi all! I have had a set back & need to get back into it!! Would appreciate some new friends! Quit logging for 2 weeks & gained 4 lbs! I am determined to lose 10 lbs by Christmas. I walk my dogs 5-6 days a week 30 min a day & have been jogging once a week but need to increase this. Also I think I want to try really cutting…

Your story is beautifully written. Congrats on your success. You are such an inspiration.

Good for you! It doesn't matter what it looks like; you are getting out there & moving & that is the goal!! I have never been a runner but did C25K last year & it really boosted my confidence.

I would agree about giving any change time to work. I just started P90X April 1 & gained 2 lbs the first 2 weeks but this week (end of week 3) I lost 2 & 1/2 lbs! Plus, I can feel a difference in how my clothes fit so I think I have lost some inches! Best of luck to you & I'm glad you're not giving up! CONGRATS on how far…

One of my favorite quick dinners is sweet italian turkey sausage sausage with onions & peppers - yum! That's what we had tonight. You can serve it over rice if you're not eating low carb.

CW: 157.7. 1. Lose 5 lbs this month 2. Complete first 30 days of P90X without skipping any work outs 3. Give up candy - this is hard since I usually have tootsie rolls at work but I really feel this is an addiction/crutch/habit that I need to break :)

Hilarious! Thanks for starting my day with a laugh!

Hi there! Would love to have more friends. Joined MFP a year ago & still plugging away. Not much weight loss but I have toned up a lot. Ordered P90X & plan to start that next week. I'm married, 2 school age kids & full time job. Would love to help motivate anyone so feel free to add me. Have a great day! Norma

Gained 1/2 lb this week. Struggling with my food choices & cravings. Will try to do better next week.

Good for you on the run! Glad it was easy for you in the heat - that really zaps me! I forgot to weigh this morning so will do that tomorrow. Thanks for keeping up with posting!

I'm in but will have to do tonight when I get home from work!

I had a 900 calorie hot fudge sundae on Sat - yes I gave in to a serious chocolate craving! Luckily, I weigh on Fri so I have a whole week to work it off! Don't be too hard on yourself - just don't let 1 slip lead into an entire week of slipping
-
Weighed in at 163.6 - almost 1 lb lost this week! I'm not changing my ticker till it "sticks" for at least a week though:wink: Been logging everything & still watching the carbs plus changing up my exercise - doing c25k, 30ds, & some zumba - feelin great
-
Today's weigh in 164.5. Loss of 1.5 lbs this week! Tried to keep my carbs below 100 grams daily this week - did pretty good except for yesterday & today. Will get back on track tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

CONGRATULATIONS! You look fabulous! I love your dress:smile: You & I have similar measurements so I'm excited to see what I could look like after 30+ lb lost! Good for you for making your health a priority!

Done! I work in a veterinary hospital so used 8.5 lb bag of dog food! Triceps on fire & arms all trembly!

I'll give it my best shot!

I'm a little lax on the weekends but log M-F & love to encourage people so add me if you want

I would definitely have bristled if someone told me i'm not "allowed" to eat something! I think that is perfectly understandable. I admire your conviction to change your lifestyle for the better. Know that the people on this site support that goal  Keep working to get healthy & show everyone what "not dieting" can…

Haven't been very good about posting my weigh ins - lots of ups & downs continue - I think I'm just not being consistent enough with my food. Lost .2 lbs since last low weight which was a few weeks ago. Have been working hard to get thru C25K training & finished week 7 this morning  Big pat on the back to…

You can add me too if you like. I'm 45 & working hard to change my life. Good luck to you!

Those are great goals! I wasn't sure if anyone was still active with this group so glad to see you on here. I am bad about making mini goals in writing but have set a few: Started C25K training last week - run/walk 3 days a week On 2 of my off days I did "boot camp" type work out - 30-45 mins of calisthenic type exercises…
