  • Agree 100%. I am loving how I feel, how I am beginning to look. How much taller I stand. Amazing. I would like to lose another 50 - 70lbs if my body will tolerate that lower weight. i am happy with what I have lost and won't complain ( at least not too much  )
  • I was just commenting on this very topic to my hubby today. I not only have a sore bum but my elbows are so pointy and sharp - thought I had pierced my leg when i leaned down with my elbow into my thigh. Where in the heck did those pointy things come from? Thought it might jsut be me - but glad to see it is a common side…

  • I have tried a few powders - I keep going back to Pure Protein Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry. 23 - 25gms of protein per scopp. Calories are good too - add some unsweetened almond milk - one cup - 30 calories and you have a good protein drink that isn't gritty or nasty tasting. GNC has protein suppliement - Lean 25. not…
  • going to give it a shot... sounds delish...
  • Today I wish I had that indicator pop up - usually it is a tightness in my chest and if I ignore, pains and possibly bringing everything back up.
  • Oh how I understand. I have also found myself Ambein eating too. so what I have done - I have a hot drink - protein coffee drink, hot chocolate, decaf tea. Anything you would like. I then savour every drop - I have the yummy but yet not over calories - good stuff. i have a couple of hot protein drinks that I use and also…
  • I have told only a few people outside my family. I thought about it and told my two oldest friends. One - so supportive and happy for me. The other - well I don't hear from her alot. Two opposite reactions. My stepdaughters asked me not to do it but - they told me they loved me and would support me in whatever I decided.…
  • Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!!! That is awesome. I had lapband on 6/28. I didn't have to stay in the hospital. I think I was home by 4pm ish with going in about 5am. I had protein drinks on hand, some broth, jello, and a pillow for my tum. didn't know my doc's office would give me one - but I have heard alot of…
  • Awesome. You are looking great!!!
  • Thought I could share this with the group. Here is a Pumpkin Mousse that I make and put in a homemade graham cracker crust or just server in a pretty bowl with a bit of nutmeg \ cinnamon sprinkled on top. It is so yummy. Low-fat, Low-carb PUMPKIN MOUSSE Directions: makes 1 batch mix dry ingredients first 1/3 cup Splenda 1…
  • At first I was going to say - sleep, read, walk, sew and sleep. Then I thought of the food challenges - I will not make the usual big batches of cookies and sweets. I have figured out a plan for the dinner rolls that I make and are always requested - I will make them but then take our portion out and give the rest to the…
  • I agree - it is the very act of actually seeing what i have consumed during the day that keeps me going. I lose track of what I eat and then I end up gaining weight. I also make sure I am logging my exercise - that also makes me accountable to my goal of 4-5 times a week. Do I get tired of thinking of logging, what I have…
  • Congratulations! That is an awesome achievement...
  • Anytime you fit into something smaller is a great day. Congratulations
  • Welcome!!! I had Lapband on 6/28/12. Started at 273. My goal is hopefully 150 but will be happy with 170. I JUST signed up to work with a personal trainer!!! Cannot wait to start training. Also have the FitBit. LOVE both the FitBit and MFP. Feel free to add me if you would like. Geri

  • agreed... I actually sent HR a pic taken two weeks ago (it is the after pic in my profile pic) to use on Employee communications (like anniversaries (which mine is next Monday) and such. My original pic is pretty horrendous. and yes I think they buy used DMV cameras...

  • I had lapband on 6/28/2012 I decided to do it because I have been 'fat' all my life. I could lose some weight but it would come back plus bring a few more pounds. I have high BP, cholesterol (tho my body makes too much anyway - I will always be on a bit of chol. med), sleep apnea, gastric reflux, bad joints, supplemental…
  • Yup - have had that too. My boss told me that I don't look like me anymore... Which kinda perked me up that day. And when I look at my profile pic. Yup I do look ALOT different. Enjoy it. It is confirmation that you have done so well.

  • So Sorry... I was denied at first. So I do understand. I so hope your doctor can re-state the need for the surgery in such a way that Ins will grant the request...
  • I had lapband on 6/28. Only family and a few friends know. I don't feel it is an easy way out. It takes dedication and commitment to alter your body. I am doing this to help me finally get to a healthy bmi and to feel better about myself. I think that the most annoying comment has been - what are you doing to lose weight?…
  • OMG - I so want to do this. This really made me laugh out loud. I just tell them that I will eat what I want to eat as it fits into my plan. I agree all the above!!
  • 1derland - man I can't wait. I am 5.1 pounds from breaking into 1derland. I wanted to be there by the 31st - but not sure I will make it... But hopefully I will be posting here soon that I have made it!!!
  • Not only sounds yummy - it IS YUMMY!!! This is being saved for many other meals. I would even serve this for company. I used chobani 0% plain yogurt instead of sour cream. Yummo.

  • Awesome. You have done so well and look so good. You should be very happy with yourself. I am also struggling with my new look after 66lbs lost. It is different and I don't quite know what to do yet. But we will get there...
