No way. Fat keeps me full and really decreases my hunger. I count carbs, keeping them low, and I count calories. I try to find high fat, low carb foods while keeping calories at a weight loss level. I'm hardly ever hungry and losing well.

I love this thread

I'm LCHF too, back into it after a difficult pregnancy. I had eggs, bacon and hollandaise for breakfast! I feel great getting back to eating well, I have so much mental clarity. And this time around I don't miss carbs at all! Anyone LCHF, feel free to add me!

Try slow cooking some good quality chicken breast and shredding it. It takes on the flavor of whatever you season it with (can go simple with good salt, ground pepper, onion, garlic or maybe use taco seasoning and broth) and it doesn't resemble any of the "parts"... makes a good salad or melt some cheese on top or stuff it…

Almond flour, I was so bummed!!!! :( :PPPPP

I have some ideas for goal rewards... like at 30 lbs, I want to get a new piece of Tiffany silver jewelry, I'm thinking bangles or some earrings. Nothing wrong with a little extra motivation, and practicing delayed gratification is good for more than just getting healthy.

it's my goal too, add me! i turn thirty next year too

I started biking at 4 weeks after a vag delivery and it was too soon!!! I should have waited!! You especially need the full six weeks with a section. Maybe start now with some hatha yoga (good stretching) and some easy strength training (not squats or abdominal work) and hold off on cardio a few more weeks. Walking is a…

I'm able to eat very low carb and still hit my calorie goal while feeling full and satisfied all day by eating more fat- I'm seeing loss too (not recording on my ticker yet!) and feeling satiated with good energy. Worth a try.

You should search the forums, there are a billion posts about this and you'd get a ton of info. I am still trying to figure out what works, if MFP knew EXACTLY how many calories you were burning and if you were traking EXACTLY what you were eating (down to the gram), then you could eat back every exercise calorie with…

Yesss, I HAVE to do yoga (hatha yoga- deep stretching, not strength training) or I'm so sore and grouchy. I use a block, strap and mat, and do a 20 minute video a few times a week. nothing fancy. I highly recommend the 5 Day Fit Yoga DVD, by Gaiam, and do day #2. It will change your life.

PREACH!! I too fell victim to the mashed banana/oatmeal/almond/cranberry whatever breakfast "cookie" which tasted just like rubber mixed with sawdust. Totally pwned.

Buy chicken breast, beef cuts or pork cuts on sale and slow cook them, then flavor and portion them out and freeze. Then you have your proteins all prepped for whatever recipes you like- burritos, salads, sandwiches. I often will slow cook a bunch of chicken breasts, then add the ingredients for tortilla soup right into…

K I've never heard of replying on their wall... that's not a thing.

Blend frozen bananas in a food processor with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, a splash of milk and some vanilla. AND BAM, YOU HAVE ICE CREAM. Its friggin amazing.

It's so hard, it's something I have no idea how to stick with. These are all great suggestions. I think a go to plan is a good idea, anything to get you (me, us) away from food. Cleaning the house can be really rewarding, it's way more zen after and I feel good, then less likely to turn to food for a pick me up. Taking a…

Bring baby to the breast as often as possible- that'll do the most to increase your supply.

I eat regular full fat ice cream, I just eat it out of a measuring cup so I know how much I'm getting. I feel way more satisfied with less of the regular stuff, and I don't like eating sugar substitutes like in Skinny Cow and WW because they give me... ahem... gastrointestinal distress :P For example I just ate 1/4 cup of…

That's so awesome that you were a surrogate, what an amazing gift! You look great!

I have my goal bikini hanging on the wall, it's red with white hibiscus flowers and it's drop dead sexy. It's hanging right in the right spot to be a great motivation. That's my vain motivation...

I have Zumba for the Wii and I work it HARD! I know I'd probably burn a bit more at a class but the Wii game is more affordable than a gym membership for me. It's fun, the music's good, and I find myself redoing the classes that I like, so I'm getting a lot out of it. I end a 20 minute class soaked with sweat!! There's a…

I am always tired after I exercise, like it melts away the stress and leaves me relaxed. When I exercise in the am, I am more tired through the day. So I like to exercise at night- if I am walking, it can be an hour or so after dinner, but if it's zumba or aerobics I'll wait till like 9 pm. It doesn't affect calorie burn…

I've actually increased the amount of good fats I'm eating, like avocado and olive oil. My skin feels nicer and I am not as hungry (I do eat my exercise calories, though I'm having to adjust that too).

Whoa... I wonder if I can ever get there... it's about 10 lbs under my goal weight. Maybe I need to set my goals higher!

Whoa thanks!! That makes a lot of sense!
