I definitely need to start using coupons when I go grocery shopping!! Thanks for the links!! :-)

I think the wedding registry is about what you and your future spouse want/need. If you want a HRM watch, ask for it.

I'd totally second the suggestion of Bob Harper's dvds. They're amazing. He's inspiring. And last I heard, he was having a sale at his website where most of the dvds were like 4 or 5 dollars each? :-) Bonus!!!

Are there certain activities, i.e. wall climbing, that you might be interested in that you can start having goals for, aside from running a distance in a certain time? I know for me, once I achieve my goal weight (with diet and exercise), that I'll be able to have the endurance to practice longer hours in various areas of…

I agree with the shadowboxing and swimming, but am curious that your physical therapist didn't suggest exercises you could do? Perhaps at your next visit you could ask what would be the best and safest exercises you can do right now?

Physique 57 Volume 1: 55 minute workout and felt absolutely great afterward. I tried to practice a bit of bhangra dance right after, didn't quite have the energy/endurance for it. I ate dinner shortly after, and am feeling a bit more re-charged. Maybe I'll get my practice in before I go to sleep :-)

totally agree with this.

If you're interested in bellydance, a dvd I'd suggest is: http://www.amazon.com/Belly-Dance-Beginners-Leila/dp/B001TK80FC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321719045&sr=8-1 It's relatively cheap, it has a wide array of lessons with different times, and is a total of 240 minutes long (you don't have to do it all at once). I've seen…

totally agree with this. You can get cardio for free. The weight lifting class will give you free access to equipment that normally you'd have to pay a gym for or buy the equipment yourself.

In lieu of tofu, I usually just ask for extra vegetables (vegetarian, so no meat).

Here's a link with some rebounding exercise routines... http://www.bellicon-usa.com/why-bellicon/rebounder-videos/exercises/new-bellicon-routine-for-beginners I had bought a Golds Gym mini-trampoline/rebounder, but I ended up returning it. Despite the fact that I was under the max weight limit of the Golds Gym trampoline…

That was so cool!!! Thanks for posting it!

Really curious- You mentioned that with Physique 57 there will be a period of time where the muscles will swell before they slim down... I know that results are different for every person- but how long did it take for you to notice the "slim down" after the swell of the quads/legs?
-
oooooohhh Thank you! :-) I'll definitely have to try that sometime :-)

@ Wolfchild59: Just an idea- but I use a handkerchief, fold it into a triangle and use that as headband when I work out. It works great for keeping hair out of the way and absorbs the sweat ;-) I like your wishlist too, I think I'd tack your ideas onto mine :-)

If you feel the craving to have that glass of wine, just do an extra 30 minutes of exercise?

I'd love to make a dance studio in one of the spare rooms at my house. Maybe a portable dance floor, replace my closet doors with mirrored closet doors, and get it all set up with surround sound for my music, a flat screen tv mounted on the wall to practice dvds... *drool* And a hot tub to relax in afterward :-)

I'd say dance dvds would depend on the music you are into. I just bought two dvds recently, one of which I was able to sample from the library (try it- this way you can check it out before you ask for it): Bhangra Beats (Volume 1)- I love love love bhangra/bollywood music. I think Jay Patel is a great teacher! Disco Dojo-…

bump I haven't tried it, sorry.

totally agree with those above me... You look great!

Leslie Sansone walking videos are great!!! I had the 4 mile dvd (it can be done at 1, 2, 3, and 4 miles)- Fantastic and fun... It really got me where I can do a walk every day! I gave it to my mom though because I think she would like it and I hope she uses it- she'll feel so much better.

I checked out the Barre3 website- it looks neat, especially for those who can do their classes. Their dvd package is great, apparently it comes with the Fitball? Neato :-) I saw that it was a 40 minute video? If anyone gets this, let me know how it goes :-) I had a question about Barre3- I noticed they had a cloth belt (or…

I'd suggest to look at various forms of dance. There are plenty of videos and dvds out there to check out- whatever kind of music you like best will encourage you to dance longer and spend more energy... Personally, I like Bhangra, Bollywood, bellydance (both traditional and tribal), Hula (Hawaiian and…

I'd suggest looking up what your local library has in its collection. Sometimes you can borrow a yoga dvd for free for 7 - 10 days (depending on the library policy). It's a great way to try out the dvd before you buy it!

Pilates is good for gaining flexibility. Just be consistent and it will develop over time. :-)

I have the Physique 57 workouts (and love them!!!). However, you've done the program longer than I have... I haven't done it longer than 2 weeks. I suggest checking out their facebook page- they have monthly challenges, and a lot of people who have Physique 57 set as "friend" are very active on the post board. They're…

Please see a doctor- it's much better to be safe than sorry.
