  • You definitely can add some assistance exercises. If you download the Stronglifts app, they have a whole section of add on exercises for Workout A and B and will add it to your routine.
  • ^ that's why I would put in a 4 for the last set instead of 5. It will act as a failed set and repeat the same weight the next workout but then you can at least track that you did something in the app rather than leaving the whole exercise blank that day
  • I've got a home gym now so I've got 4- 2.5lb plates but my old gym offered them too. If you're going for 5kg, you're definitely going to stall out in most of the lifts (OHP, Bench and Squats most likely in that order) faster as the weight progresses, that's when the fractional weights will be necessary to see weight…
  • as long as its not every workout, it wont really affect anything. When I had to substitute in the past using a smith machine for squats, I'd usually put in a 4 for the last set so it would just repeat again the next time around.
  • Vita Jym multivitamin D3 Nordic Naturals Fish oil Animal Flex pack Glutamine Creatine Amino Energy/Pre Workout Whey or casein protein
  • what they said above. Flat or minimalist shoes with hard soles work best. If you really want lifting shoes, look at something like the Reebok lifter 2.0/Nike Romaleos 2 but those are probably overkill for most people
  • I drink my coffee black. I used to do cream and sugar, then cut back on the sugar with splenda and eventually just took it with milk until I cut that out of it too. Now I can't drink it any other way Protein powder I always go with Optimum Nutrition. I've never heard of Arbonne before, so i cant say one way or the other
  • I pay $10/month with no yearly fee at WorkOut World, 24/7 and they dont care what you do with free weights
  • It's more the fact that if you get up there in weight, you wont progress as much if you're doing it every workout because you wont have enough time to recover. You'll be too tired and need extended rest periods at some point. I usually have to take a week off from deadlifts to recover sometimes.
  • this, Stronglifts explains it the same way. Bar over the middle of your foot and bend your legs until your shins are just about touching
  • Stronglifts was the program I started with, I stuck with the 5lb increments on everything and the recommended 10lb increase on dead lift. I'd stay with that plan, the weight will get up there in no time. Sticking with the 5x5 plan instead of doing more will help in the long run, once the weight starts to increase, so will…
  • get a pair of jaybird bluebuds x bluetooth ear buds, they never fall out of my ears and I can keep my phone on the floor next to me
  • This is why you start out with a beginner type program like stronglifts 5x5, and use the barbell to start on each exercise to work up to heavy weights slowly. Yeah, I felt dumb at first with such little weight but it jumped up to 300+lb squats and deadlifts in no time that way
  • Good for you. I'll do the same thing and get looks if I grunt or something (not even loud) when I'm trying to deadlift 405lb or something and I just want to be like, come over here and try it yourself and see if you can be silent...
  • I don't have photos but I've been doing it since June. Squat 45->375lb (+335) Bench 45->190lb (+145, though I did 225 the other day for the hell of it to be in the 1000+ lb club) Row 65-> 195lb (+130) OHP 45->145lb (+100) screw ohp lol Deadlift 95->405lbs (+310)
  • thats what I was thinking...until I have 405 on the bar, then its all mental blocks to get over
  • most have calories in them and logging it allows you to keep track that you took them. Mine add 36 or more depending on what I take
  • Patriots are taking out the sea pigeons
  • I definitely do not wear spandex, I normally wear compression style boxers and then light material shorts (hylete performance) or mens lululemon ninja pants, and no matter what depending on the exercise, I'm sure you'll see an outline at some point...pretty much impossible to stop
  • I just spray mine with some olive oil, add some Montreal seasoning on it and grill it up

  • Honestly I've been doing one box a month for like a year now and finally cancelled. It's 4 tiny snacks for $6. They did taste good and they were healthy but they were tiny
