I am sorry I was too late to add my Eirlys on your list, but she is at peace now. You are absolutely amazing. If you don't mind, I am going to copy this idea from you for every run I am going to do in future. (Challenge from and with my best friend!) You've touched a lot of people through this wonderfully kind act. Praying…

The couch to 5k program is fantastic and will get you there just fine!! I have done 5k race for life last year and really enjoyed it. Enjoy!!

I've done 2 weeks now. The second week was easier than the first, which in itself was not horrendous at all. I notice my cravings have gone down on my non fast days. You bet I still ate crappy food this weekend though. :blushing:

I'll be up for this!

Thanks!

As long as no one tries to take my spot... You really help me a lot. :flowerforyou:

My goals are bigger than my excuses.

Maybe try cottage pie with loads of mixed veg and sweet potato mash? I do a mean chicken burger with Cajun spice, lots of salad and wholemeal bun, really delicious. Chicken fajitas with salad is another favourite.

Please, please write a letter to senior management. They probably have no idea about the damage being done at front. Good on you for being confident enough not to let it bother you too much, but for someone with real low confidence that can be a make or break deal for weeks!

36, Northants.

I have one with a chest strap and definitely burn less on there than what the machines say. I trust the HRM more as it is set up to my gender, age weight etc. A bummer, but you'd rather know than not, right?

I can smell something really bad.  Must be the side effects of the appetite supressant pills. Smells like bull poo to me.

Brit, this explains it fairly well:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01lxyzc/Horizon_20122013_Eat_Fast_and_Live_Longer/

Also trying to get into this, so if any one of you want to add me, please do! I feel great so far and hoping to get into it as a life time change.

You simply CAN NOT let the number on a scale demotivate you!! You know that weight fluctuates with water retention and all that jazz. How can you possibly take away the good you have done with a number that is bound to go up and down through your body's natural processes. Own the good you are doing to yourself, appreciate…

Ouch, that must have hurt! I hope that you are feeling a bit better about it by now, time is a good leveller! But got to agree with what the others have said, it is probably because you are not overly big that they think it is ok to joke like that. Either tell him it's not on, or just shrug it off and don't let…

Hiya, I had the same experience with Dukan, it's not for everyone. If you do have spare time, take a look at this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01lxyzc/Horizon_20122013_Eat_Fast_and_Live_Longer/ Been doing it last week and it really is not hard. I'll keep you posted with my progress because it certainly was not…

Yup, I do this too all the time. If I am not behind a desk I am hiding my belly under a cushion! :blushing: Another reason for losing weight - I have got a wardrobe full of beautiful clothes that probably wont fit around my ankle at the moment! I want 'em back on my butt!!

I would never go to someone who humiliates me and shout at me. If I work with a trainer I want to be pushed, definitely. And tell me where I am going wrong! Else I can just do it on my own! But I would not allow anyone else to shout at me, the trainer definitely won't get away with it! Us fatties get treated with enough…

That is so trashy, good luck for that poor child's future! Headphones in and keep running! You have done amazingly well, don't let them make any difference to how you feel about your success! Must admit that is one of the reasons I run early mornings, too scared I'll get nasty comments! Well done on your success!
-
Amazing! What workout did you do? :flowerforyou:
-
Afrikaans and a little bit of Tswana.

RRRrrooaaaRRRR!!!

I did this program and it is absolutely fabulous.

I've done it! I used the NHS couch to 5k podcasts with Laura. They are excellent. I graduated a while ago and now run 6.5km 3 times a week, hoping to increase that bit by bit.

Give up and then what? Gain more weight? Live more unhealthy? D'you know, my weightloss is almost non existent but it is the fact that I am not giving up trying that makes me feel ok about myself. Keep going! You'll get there!!

Thanks a lot.
