I each back all or nearly my exercise calories. I cannot get by on 1300 cals a day, and getting to eat back the cals is incentive to exercise. I started 1/3/12, and I am still losing at least a lb. per week. So, it is working for me. Good luck!

Heartburn is no joke! Do what is necessary to avoid it. I wake up at 4, work out at 5, get to the office at 8 and eat my cereal at 9. I lost 6 lb. when I spent a week in Rome. The portions are a quarter of what is served in restaurants in the U.S., and I walked for miles every day, sight seeing. I cannot imagine you will gain unless you spend a lot of time on tour busses. Congrats on your upcoming wedding, and enjoy your trip!

Breakfast total raisin bran with banana and milk. Lunch is a giant salad with chicken or avocado. Dinner is fish tacos, steak fajitas or chicken with potato or veg. Sometimes tater tot casserole. Snacks yogurt or rye triscuits.

Yes, I weigh meat, fish, cheese, nuts, avocados, chips, every time. I rarely weigh fruit or veg, except potatoes. I measure mayo or peanut butter, the one tablespoon of half and half I have in my first coffee in the morning, and oil.

I really don't know how parents do it with children's sports schedules, but I think I would grab a banana and maybe a glad ware container of cereal and just buy milk at the gas station. Once a week (same scale, same time, same clothes). Record the weight and put the scale away. You cannot gain tons of fat in one week.
