  • Ok, today was D4L2 and it is starting to get better. I am still sweating a lot and at the end I just want to lay down, but I am making it to the end.
  • Hello! My name is Shannon and I am the mommy of a 24m old son and 6m B/G twins. I weighed 24lbs less than I do now when I got married almost 4 years ago. I put on 15lbs trying to get pregnant the first time - it took about a year. And then after I had my son I lost my pregnancy weight quickly, and then put on another 10…
  • I started L2 on Fri. So far, everyday has seemed like the first day of L2. On the upside, I'm not sore after doing the workout. But I find it much more difficult to do the workout compared to L1. It's certainly a challenge and I definitely feel like I've worked out when it is done. But I keep telling myself that I am…
  • I am 5' 5.5" - close to 5'6". My goal is to get to 130 and see how I feel/what it looks like. Before I got married almost 4 years ago I was 123. I was running 30+ miles per week and carefully watching what I eat. Now I am watching what I eat, but doing more strength training and not as much cardio as before. I am also 4…
  • Great month for you! I have lost 4.8 lbs so far and I'm happy with it. I was hoping to lose 10lbs in Jan, but that isn't going to happen. But I am definitely losing some weight, I feel stronger, and I have managed to find time to exercise almost everyday and have stuck to my diet. I consider Jan a big success!
  • I did D1 of L2 and I thought it was so much harder than L1. With L1, the 1st circuit was hardest for me and I think the other 2 are easier. And the strength portion is the most difficult to me. I actually enjoyed the abs b/c I was able to lay down and catch my breath. I did not feel like I was able to catch my breath with…
  • thank you for the websites and the ideas! My real challenge is finding low calorie, high protein, snacks/meals that I can realistically incorporate into my and my family's diet. Although I love to cook, I work 50 miles from home and time is an issue. I know my issues are not unique - nobody has enough time. I will check…
  • If I ask for feedback/opinions/criticism/suggestions, then be as brutally honest as you would like. If I am doing something blatantly wrong and complaining that I am not losing enough weight, etc., then I would appreciate it if you would let me know. If someone is randomly searching and reads my diary, then if you feel…
  • CW: 147.2 GW: 125-130 (I'll re-evaluate at 130) ht: 5' 5.5" Age: 38, almost 39 3 kids 2 and under!
  • I would fit in extra exercise today (a 20 minute walk), cut down on calories for my other meals (have a salad for lunch instead of a sandwich, cut my snacks in half, etc), and make sure that I eat smaller portions at dinner. And pick something I like that is still in line with my diet plan. For example, I am making sure to…
  • Congrats Beccah! I am hoping to see similar results around my waist and belly. I weighed in this morning and I have lost 2.2 lbs since last Tuesday - my first day of level 1. I've changed my eating habits this past month so I know the weight loss is probably due to that. But my middle feels more tone already and I'm…
  • That is what I will do. I wasn't sure if I should give more time to levels 2 and 3 if they are a lot harder. And I wasn't sure how comfortable I should be when I do the w/o. As it is, today I felt a little more than I have the last couple of days.
  • You both look great! I have 3 kids - a 24 month old son (over 9 lbs) and 6 month old twins (over 14 lbs of baby). I was wondering if my excess skin would ever tighten up again. You have given me hope! I just finished day 7 of the 30DS and I significantly changed my eating and exercise habits at the beginning of the year.…
  • I stink at push-ups. One of my friends told me that the way she learned how to do push-ups was to 1.) do the modified version and 2.) instead of using the floor, use something taller as your floor. I used the couch. You still feel it in your arms, but it is a little easier. Gradually lower the "floor" for your push-ups.
  • I just finished day 7 of level 1 and I like it. I'm not sure of the stats, but I feel more tone. I had twins last summer and I had at least 2 inches of extra skin over my belly. I can already feel it disappearing! I am running 2 miles 3-4 days a week as well. I really like that the w/o is 20 minutes long and I can do it at…
  • I use 3 lb weights for some exercises and 5 lb weights for other exercises. And I still can't master the push-ups.
  • wow to all of your results. My weigh-in day was Tuesday. SW: 152 (and change) W1: 150.2 W2: 149.4 So far, not a big weight loss; but I feel like the dieting and exercising are working. I will check my measurements next Tuesday and see if they have changed.
  • I don't know, but I think that although the additional exercise counts, it would count as one day. (i.e. I don't think doing 2 circuits a day for 15 days is the same as doing 1 circuit a day for 30 days).
  • 1330 is the net calories you should be aiming. if you exercise then you earn more calories. if you use the exercise tool in mfp, it will calculate how many additional calories you can eat that day to stay on track.
  • Hi everyone- Today was my L1D1. While I was doing it, I had the most trouble with the push-ups - even the "girlie" ones. I felt okay afterwards - I felt like I had a good work-out, but I felt energized. As the day went on, I felt more and more sore. First it was my back when I got up from the sitting position. At the end…
  • Your cheat day was so much better than mine! My cheat day did a lot of damage. I weighed myself on Sat and my weight was fluctuating in the 147's. Tuesday is my official weight day, so I did not record that. I stepped on the scale today and my weight was 149.4. I can feel myself "tightening up" though and I am happy about…
  • Thanks! Now I'm excited to start.
  • try ebay or amazon? I have not seen them in any of the stores I shop.
  • My weigh-in day is Tuesday, but I finished my first full week on the mod BFL. The diet part went really well and the cardiovascular part went well. I could barely lift my arms for 3 days after the arm portion of strength-training. But I'm sure it will get easier. Yesterday was my day off and although I enjoyed it and ate…
  • are you a vegetarian? I add chicken and shrimp to salads and make it a meal. If you don't eat/like meat, add hard-boiled egg to salad, egg whites for breakfast (low in cal and chol), glass of skim/low-fat milk, cottage cheese (I mix mine with yogurt), protein bar or drink. I am trying to follow a high-protein diet and I…
  • I am close to mboice916 and dilleight and probably a few others. SW 152 CW 152 GW 125ish Height 5ft 5.5in Age 38
  • I used to run regularly and I would like to get that back into my regular routine. So I am modifying the cardio portion so that it starts out as 20 minutes 3 days/week and I build it up to be a training program for the half marathon in Sept. This means I will be running short distances on 2 of the 3 strength training days.…
