  • I'm in the same boat, so I know what you're going through! I've had PCOS for 10 years, and I've really struggled with my weight. I'll lose some, and then gain more than I was before I started trying to lose weight. For me it seems like EVERYTHING I eat makes me gain weight. Recently, the weight has finally be coming off.…
  • I aim for 500 calories per workout, and I try to workout at least 3x a week.
  • I'm 5'5, but would love to have more friends that are in the same boat. I also need help with motivation! Sometimes it's so hard not to let my stress get the best of me.
  • Feel free to add me too! I aim to eat between 1200 and 1500, and my diet consists mainly of fruits and veggies. I'm always looking for some variety since I get bored so easily.
  • This might be part of the reason that you're not losing and are gaining. If you're eating too little, your body goes into starvation mode and holds onto the weight. I recommend upping your calories and drinking a lot of water. Regardless, you've made HUGE progress. Try to focus on the big picture rather than the small…
  • I eat chia seeds almost every day, and I just put a spoonful into my yogurt or smoothies. You'll barely even notice they're there :) Good luck!
  • I personally eat organic, but if you're worried about cost I would pick and choose what to eat. If you eat meat or dairy, I think organic is the most important since regular is FULL of hormones.
  • Hey! I actually have had the same problem for almost 10 years now, and things are FINALLY starting to move. What type of thyroid meds are you on if you don't mind me asking? I used to be on levoxyl, but I recently switched to Nature-Throid. This is a more natural medicine that actually mimics your real thyroid hormone,…
  • I don't have a strong opinion one way or another about whether dairy is good or bad, but if you do eat that much dairy I HIGHLY recommend going organic. Animals are given so many antibiotics and hormones, most of which go directly into their milk. That way you can still get a lot of your protein without the bad additives.…
  • INCREDIBLE! What have you been doing to lose so many inches?! Keep up the awesome work.
  • 2 hand fulls spinach 1/2 banana 1/2 cup frozen mango 1/2 cup frozen pineapple 1/2 cup milk/soy So green and yummy, but tastes sweet and tropical!
  • I'm in too! Just in time for my 2nd wedding anniversary! CW: 191 GW: 180
  • Yep, it's the same. However, you should try to lift heavier than you did in your first workout if possible. Enjoy :)
  • Glad I saw this. Turns out I've been doing them wrong too! Oops...
  • COMPLETELY agreed. I too have PCOS and have been at a plateau for about 4 months. I would KILL to lose 2 lbs in a week. What is your secret!?
  • I also didn't notice any changes with CLA.
  • Vitamin B is great to add to your diet. It helps with stress and with your body converting food into energy, rather than storing it.
  • I definitely still feel like a newbie, so feel free to add me as well :) I did 2B today, and am definitely feeling it! So far I've been staying on top of things and have been working out hard, but I definitely struggle with my eating. Hopefully I can get both my lifting and eating under control so that I can get stronger…
  • Thanks for all of your great suggestions! I think that helps give me a better sense of what types of things I need to be eating. Is there a particular protein shake you recommend? I've never had them before, and with so many on the market I'm not sure where to begin!
  • I absolutely LOVE my FitBit! It's amazing. It keeps track of your steps, distance, calories burned, stairs climbed, and activity level. It can also be worn at night to track your sleep quality and patterns, which I find really useful. It also integrates with MFP, which I really love.
  • Swimming, biking, yoga, pilates, and rock climbing!
  • I'm also a new runner doing C25K, and I HIGHLY recommend getting fitted for new running shoes as soon as you can. When I first started running, I was doing it in shoes that didn't provide the level of support I needed. Since I've had three knee surgeries, proper support is VERY important to preventing injury and making…
  • I feel EXACTLY the same way! I have PCOS and hypothyroidism too, and no matter what I do the scale seems to go UP, not down. I've started running and doing various cardio throughout the week, and I eat about 1500 calories a day with no results. I know that regardless of weight, it's healthier to live this way, but…
