  • Good luck to you! You have a great attitude - stick to it!
  • If I kept a bottle of vinegar with me at all times, it wouldn't last long, cos I'd drink it all!!!! lol I'm such a vinegar addict.
  • I know exactly what you mean. I too got pretty OCD about it... doing anything from 2-3 hours a day - EVERY DAY! I was single too then..... now I'm not, although I do exercise... I just don't at the same rate, and the weight either creeps back or stays the same. I've steadily put on half of what I initiallly lost... so I…
  • Yep... I don't find my chest strap uncomfortable at all. Like naugustyniak says, just tuck it under your bra band and it feels no different.
  • If you've joined a gym, check out if they do any classes. Circuits is the best for weight loss, as it's an overall work out. I'm about 13.5 stone, and I work off approx. 750 calories in a 50 min session!!! Also I do the spinning class, and the body combat class... workouts to music are probably the most fun. I'm still a…
  • That's great to hear. Keep up the good work and you'll reach your next goal in no time!
  • Hey Bees Bella...I bought one recently from Tesco. It's their own 'OneLife' one, rather than the Polar - as it's £10 cheaper.... and you know what - it' s got more features on it. It cost £14.87, and I totally love it. It's a real eye opener to what you're really burning off. ... and yes if you want to know a complete day,…
  • Well done you! Great work!!!
  • Pirate - I'm the same. If I eat breakfast, I get hungrier sooner... I never used to eat breakfast at all.... Now I've given in a little, by eating something, if not much. I have my main meal at the end of the day, but it's not so bad because I do my exercising mainly first thing in the morning. Think you gotta work with…
  • I love crisps. If I have any calories to spare, every so often I will have them. I find it hard to stop with crisps - I'll eat them til they're coming out of my ears. haha
  • Yeah that's what I averaged too... although since I got my HRM which has all my actuals typed into it, I seem to burn off more than that. I figure it's more acurate as knows my heart rate, age and weight - where as the machine doesn't have that information. Although I type in my weight, it doesn't know my heart rate unless…
  • Sorry I didn't get any notifications of replies to this for some reason.... Yes I try to just stick to my 1200 calories. I do put my exercise calories on the journal, but try not to use them.... if I do go over, it's usually on a high exercise day, and the most I will eat on that day is 1500 calories. I normally work out 5…
  • I bought a Tesco One Life one on Monday. It's brilliant. Only £14.87...... as opposed to the Polar one - which was £27.99.... and not half as good. I love it... wonder why I didn't get one sooner. Seeing those burnt off calories adding up is addictive. hehe.

  • I'm on 1,200. I too, try my best not to eat any of the exercise calories, but if I do, I do... that's what they're there for - back up. As long as I don't go over, I'm happy.
  • I went to my first spinning class last week - I've always been scared to go in.... but just bit the bullet and did it. Totally loved it! I think everyone in there was much fitter than me, but it didn't matter. Everybody is concentrating on themselves and having fun - nobody will laugh at you, and you will wish you'd gone…
  • Well done you! Now for the next journey. I'm the same... recently overweight. Feel's SO much better and can finally say I'm not Obese.
  • Well done you! That's great. Keep up the good work - you'll soon be on the other side of 200.
  • Thanks pyckse  Must have worked - I'm picking up a little now. It's not the food I have so much of a problem with, it's exercise. Trouble is, I know I enjoy it when I do it - it's just 'doing' it in the first place. lol I did a spinning class last night and loved it... heading to the gym after work today. Just got to…
  • Well done.. that's great.  I can't wait til I can fit back in to my Size 12 jeans. Got a little way to go yet unfortuntately.... but I'll do it.
  • I would say.... pack your lunch for the day, and don't bring any spare money for food with you - that way you can't buy any more. You can't eat what you don't have!!! I too have a desk job these days. I'm still finding it hard adjusting from November when I changed from a highly active job on my feet all day and walking…
  • Welcome Nat, and good luck... hope you find the motivation and support you need. I'm desperate for some motivation at the moment - for some reason it's all gone out the window.
  • Well done. You go girl! :glasses:
  • As long as you really want it and you stick to it - keep focused on your goals, I have no doubt you will do it. What are your goals? And how do you plan to reach them??? Good luck.

  • Hmmm, well you know the problem hits you about 3pm, so why not schedule a walk at that time - or anything that keeps you busy and away from the cupboards. I know with me, if I get peckish at a time when I don't want to be - if ignored, the feeling will have passed with in 20 mins.. so just make sure you're busy for about…
  • I'm a bit confused too.. 4,000 calories a day???
  • What are smores????
  • In a small room of a secured building, with combination lock doors and no windows!!!
  • Good for you, and well done.... I've only managed 9 lbs since the start of January! ... and 6 of them I lost over the last couple weeks! So go you! Great on keeping up a steady loss. Good luck on the rest of your 'Journey'... You can do it. :o)
  • I agree.... I think it looks nasty. *lol* I wouldn't even eat that if you paid me!!!:noway:
