  • Welcome! Congratulations on your engagement! When's the date? Do you have specific goals before then?

  • I'm adding you now! I've plateaued over the last little while, but I'll do my best to support you :)
  • I love planking! I usually do it on my hands and toes, but I haven't been able to hold it for longer than 1.5 minutes. If I'm on my elbows, it's definitely a lot easier. I like to have plank challenges with my boyfriend to see who can hold it longer. So far, I've been winning, but he's training hard to beat me! ;)
  • I'm going to need to buy some dates! Totally making these later!
  • Hello there! I love the idea of working out as a group. See you in the Rocheter, NY group!
  • Bump. My boy just bought a huge jar of the stuff and I've never known what to do with it.
  • I saw a huge line-up for RIPT & CUT on Thursday night when I was going for Pilates. It's intimidating to me that they all look really fit and the sign describing the workout said that 'prior physical conditioning is necessary before taking this class'. :noway:
  • What's RIPT? I haven't seen anything posted about it at the Pittsford RAC...
  • That happened to me. When I started working out, the scale didn't budge for a while. Have you tried measuring yourself? You might be losing inches without losing pounds. Hang in there...weight loss takes time if you're working out at the same time. I've noticed in general (and this is totally an oversimplification) that…

  • A tub of hummus and an empty Ziploc bag. I ate all the crackers.
  • I LOVE Dance Central! I can end up dancing for HOURS without even noticing and you really work up a great sweat. The other Kinect game that has me sore the next day is The Biggest Loser. Those mountain climbers are KILLER.
  • I'm in the same boat. I started at 135 lbs and am aiming for 115, but at 125 right now, I'm not as concerned about the number on the scale as much as getting the muscle and strength for a good -looking body.
  • Hi all! I'm a genetic counselor in a few different clinics across the hospital: neurology, pediatrics, and cancer. I'm either sitting in front of a computer or running around in clinic. Either way, I don't end up having the greatest eating habits as a result. I've got to pack all my own food because the cafeteria is a…
  • 5'3" SW: 135 lbs CW: 125 lbs GW: 115 lbs It's tough when you've got the last 10 lbs to go...I sort of feel like I've been plateauing, so any and all support is appreciated!
  • Bump. These are hilarious!

  • I love the idea of using teeth brushing as a deterrent! I usually have to go to bed early lol
  • Maybe we should make this a group? I'm SUCH a late night snacker and it can be super hard to give that up. I've love to have others in the same boat all in one place to support each other!
  • 26 year old over here! Feel free to add me :)
  • Go to your Tools tab and you'll see the ticker and how you can personalize it :)

  • I've never heard of this before, my oh man, I want in. Does anyone know if there's such a thing in upstate NY?
  • I agree with this, but wanted to add that you may be surprised at how much you can actually lift. I tried a deadlift for the first time the other day and was able to lift 100lbs. I'm 5'3, 126lbs, and *thought* I had no upper body strength. If you have the right form, there's no telling what you're capable of!
  • Welcome! Congrats on the baby and congrats on joining MFP! :)

  • I'm honestly terrified of any class with the word 'cardio' in it. I bet it's fun for people who enjoy having their heart race a mile a minute, but I don't know if it's right for me ;)
  • I'm 5'3 and 126 lbs now. I was 135 lbs before, which is still in the healthy range, but I want to get down to 115. It's definitely a long, frustrating journey, but I'm hoping the patience will pay off! Feel free to add me :)
  • I've always thoughts Nerds were the ones who has social skills and it was the geeks who were basement dwellers. Oh well, my username gives it away -- I'm a nerd. :P
  • You might surprise yourself! In the past, I wouldn't be able to run more than a couple of minutes, but today, I ran for 50 minutes without stopping. Yes, it was slow and I only went 3.8 miles in those 50 minutes, but it's a huge improvement!
  • I've never done C25K, but isn't that close to week 6? You were so close! Don't give up! I used to hate running with a passion, but lately, I've been doing 2 miles as a warm-up before going to the gym. It gets easier :)
  • A gym date sounds great! I'm coming back from vacation at the end of this weekend, so I'm free any time after that. I used to go to Zumba back when I was a member of the Ballys in Henrietta, but I got tired of it pretty quickly. I think it's because I'm used to choreographed dance and Zumba doesn't typically go through all…
