When I was using my Polar FT4 I ate most of my calories back to account for variations in tracking but since I got my Fitbit at Christmas I have to be super careful and only eat back what I actually burned working out. I sometimes have to work 3rd shift and 1st shift, my normal schedule is 2nd shift. I always chose to make my day from when I get up until I go to bed to account for changes.

I've heard the rule of thumb is usually 4 weeks to see a change in yourself, 8 weeks for friends and family to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world. Maybe that's part of it, people are really just starting to notice there is a difference.

Low carb wraps or lettuce slices are what I use to replace bread when I'm craving a sandwich. We also keep Sarah Lee 45 calorie a slice bread in the house for my fiance. Watching the carbs aren't as big of a deal for him and it's a nice treat for me. I also like to make mini sandwiches with strips of zucchini or summer…

Thank you for your responses. I am at a point where I need to lose the weight or my health will start to decline. Meal planning is a normal thing for us, partially because of our schedules and partially due to budgeting.
