Hi all! Maybe we can get some activity going in this group! :-) I love the Weight Watchers meetings and I know that, without them, I'd have given up. But I really, really DON'T like the new Smart Points plan! I find tracking via the WW app to be really discouraging because, although fruits and veggies are free, one piece…

This is THE most inspiring story I've read all week! I am 5'3" and started this journey when I hit 199 pounds, insisting that I would NOT hit 200 pounds! I am proud to say that I have basically not faltered (I say "basically" because I had a few "planned falter" days, which I am fine with) and I have been very active,…

I had this surgery after a twin pregnancy and delivery. Man, did those two cuties mess up my belly! I agree that it's WELL worth it! Unfortunately, I gained much weight back, but that's my own dang fault. You look amazing!! Congrats!

I was a total rah-rah, goody-goody American cheerleader. It was sheer rebellion against my European hippie radical parents. They asked themselves where they went wrong...

Hi ! I have 40-50 extra pounds of fat gracing (NOT) my body! Feel free to add me... Carol

Bump!

Happy Sunday, y'all! Thought I'd post while eating my delicious garden salad full of crunchy and savory deliciousness. YUMMY! The rest of the family is eating pizza, but I'm avoiding that sight and smell and hanging out in my office... enjoying my salad. :-) Hey -- get out of here with that cheesy, drippy slice of pizza! I…

I weigh often and record each time the scale indicates a smaller number than the last time I posted. This might be a day or a week, but it's definitely a motivator for me! When I was doing WW I dreaded even the slightest gain being reported. I can gain this way, but I know that I can't RECORD on MFP till I lose -- and I…

I totally see a change! You're inspiring me! How tall are you?

Good morning, ladies! I'm really enjoying reading through these posts, getting to know a bit about each of you. I like the fact that, although weight and health are definitely central topics to this board, they are not the ONLY topics discussed, and it seems that you are all so interested in the many facets of each others'…

Hello ladies. Can I play? :-) I've been looking for an active, friendly, supportive board with people I can relate to and who can relate to me. By jove, I think I might have found it! ;-) I'm Carol. I'm 55 years old -- which feels really awkward to mention because I definitely don't feel like what I used to regard 55 as:…

Especially lately! I'll take our usual rain over a week of snow and ice!

Hello! I can't believe it took me three weeks to find "my" group! I grew up in California (Bay Area, Santa Barbara, San Diego), but moved to the PNW in '93 and will never leave! My blog, at www.northwestladybug.com is, as you might guess, often NW-focused. I've gained about 50 pounds since moving to the PNW -- I think…

Me too! BY FAR!! I am actually believing that I can do this this time!

I'm 5'3", weigh 195, and wear a 16. I've never worn smaller than a 12. Even at 130 I wore a 12! My goal is to fit in a size 10.
-
You look great! You're so inspiring, as I have 50 pounds to lose.
-
Great attitude!
-
I'm 5'3" and my first goal is 148 because I remember feeling pretty good at that weight -- and it's still 50 pounds away, so any less seems unimaginable. I guess I'll re-evaluate when I get there!

Spread a few tablespoons of instant non-fat chocolate pudding (made with non-fat milk) onto a half low-fat graham cracker. Top pudding with non-fat Cool Whip. Top with other half of cracker. Freeze before eating, if desired.

You are beautiful! Just stunning! That man doesn't deserve you -- then, now, or in the future. Get healthy for YOU and enjoy him coming back with his tail between his legs... but do NOT take him back!

Heeeey! So happy to be friends here! Anyone who reads (or has ever read) my blog is my friend! I'm slowly gearing up... no whooping and hollering yet. But inside I'm kinda stoked at the possibilities... Carol (aka www.northwestladybug.com)

Actually, we went to the Mongolian Grill in Woodinville. Its evilness or goodness is entirely up to me, as I (and I alone) load the bowl. Oh, the pressure! Happy to see that you're a local! :-)

I've been looking for a "twin" here, but it seems that women over 30 are almost as much of a rarity as men (of any age/weight)! I totally relate to the inspirations stated on your profile! Maybe we can encourage each other...
