I am 5'5" and targeting 140. It depends on your build. My low is 128. I was pretty skinny and it was 15 years ago.

I second this. I like the shirataki noodles in Asian soups and stir-fries but they are SO different from pasta noodles! Would you put spaghetti sauce on ramen noodles? *shiver* For Italian recipes, I recommend Fiber Gourmet!

My ex-nanny went raw while she worked for us. She initially lost about 20 lbs and then stopped losing. I think she was more focused on eating raw than losing weight. I will say her food was yummy but VERY high in fat. She used lots of nuts in everything. That and dried fruit, which is high-calorie. It seems pretty natural…

I use hummus instead of mayonnaise. It even works in tuna fish. For me a healthy sandwich is: ONE piece of a brown, seedy, grainy bread (max 100 cal) 2 tbsp hummus lots of lean meat a half slice of low fat swiss cheese veg: cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, spinach or whatever else I can fit on there Oh and Dave's Killer Bread…

Here's a specific suggestion: You may think I'm nuts but try a spinach smoothie to get your veg. It may sound gross but I'm sure it will be easier for you than eating a big salad. 2c spinach 1c strawberries or pineapple (any sweet fruit) 1/2c or so of water blend and guzzle You'll be surprised how good it tastes. The…

I'm in the UK as well. They sell them on their site in 10-packs which is a bit much to just try them. Amazon.co.uk has them in a 6-pack for £15 so I ordered from there. They are pricey! those are small single-serve packs. Might be worth a trip to China Town if you're near London!

Yes! Smoothies. I go through 3-5 bags a week in my smoothies. It's a wonder I'm not overdosing in Vit A. Hmmm. 2c Spinach + 1/2c Berries or Pineapple or any fruit + a tbsp of PB if you need fat + some water and blend. Add a scoop of whey or soy protein and you have a meal. NOTE: You can throw in almost non-starchy veg and…

Greek yogurt = easy "cheap" protein. By cheap I mean few calories for the volume of protein. This is true at least, for the no fat, plain versions. I try to get at least 2g protein for 1g carb (sugar) in things like yogurt. They all fail miserably so I do plain, 0% Fage with berries and walnuts. I am lucky in that I don't…
