I loved the 30DS and found it was a great thing to use to kick myself in gear with my new workout plan. I did it 6 days a week (I've made Sundays my mandatory rest day) and tried incorporating an extra burn via riding my horse or putting some km on my stationary bike at least 4 times a week. Athough I didn't get very…

You need to add some protein in here. I'm on a 1200 cal intake plan as well and actually am finding it fairly easy to hit that every day. For your snacks ... try and add a handful of almonds to eat with your fruit... try dipping your veggies in hummus or a homemade bean dip... how about a piece of cheese?... a protein…

I have NEVER been much of a protein fan (i blame that on an accident I had 8 yrs ago causing me to live off of it because my jaw was wired shut)!!!.. anyway, my hubby bought me Promacil http://www.rivalus.net/products/promasil/ in milk chocolate this past weekend. Honestly, it tasted just like chocolate milk!! I LOVE it!!…

I did the couch to 5k challenge back in the winter of 2010 and had great success!!!! i finished the program the end of March 2010, and completed my first 5K race at the beginning of April. it worked so much that i even managed to do a 10K that may!! :) anyway, i ended up blogging throughout the entire challenge if you're…

finished day 2 this morning and now this afternoon the backs of my thighs are hurting up a storm!! :P i've been using only 3lb weights, but tomorrow i'm going to use 5lbs for most of the moves.

I'm aiming for somwhere between 115-120! :)

i agree with the comment stating that a bigger person could possible lose the 20lbs with the shred. i would have had to literally starve myself to achieve that kind of calorie deficit! lol but i am proud to say that i lost 5.7 inchs and 5.6lbs doing the shred 6x a week along with other cardio - horseback riding and cycling.

This morning was day 1 for me and it was tough but bearable... i think doing the 30DS first really helped. i used my 3lb weights for everything, but plan on incorporating the 5lbs ones tomorrow for certain moves that felt easy this morning.

I completed the 30DS yesterday! My final measurements: (I'm 5'3) upper arm = (left) 10.3″ (right) 10.3″ – (left down .3″ / right down .2) thigh = (left) 22.7″ (right) 22.7″ – (left down .6″ / right down .3“) high waist (as in skinniest part) = 27.5″ – (down by 1.5″) low waist (right across the belly button) = 31.8″ – (down…

I set my alarm about 35-40 minutes earlier and do it in the morning before work. It was really hard at first, but after about 2 weeks, i got used to it. That leaves my evenings free for other stuff .. ie. i have a horse and ride about 3 night a week and also like to hit the stationary bike after work on nights that i don't…

I just finished the 3DS this morning! I just weighed in and lost a total of 5.6lbs doing the shred 6x a week which averages just over 1lb a week - exactly on target for me! :) i will take my after shots when i get home tonight and will post photos with overall measurements.

I eat oatmeal several times a week! :) i like to make a big pot of steel cut oats on the weekend which includes 3C water, 3C milk, 1 3/4C oats, 2 mashed bananas, 1tsp vanilla. i will take a 1C scoop out of the pot for breakfast and include my add-ins of choice. Some of my favs: - 2Tbsp pumpkin, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice,…

I'm new here, but just wanted to tell you all that you CAN do it!!! I started the 30DS several weeks ago and completed Day 26 this morning!!! I've been doing it 6x a week, taking Sunday's off and I really find that has helped to keep me going. :) i've been posting my thoughts/results on my blog here: http://mypinkthumb.com…

I'm actually 5 days away from finishing the 30DS and have been doing it 6 days a week, taking Sunday's off. i've only lost 3lbs so far (with a current goal to drop 15), but i'm definitely seeing differences in my arms and legs. it's been a great way to kick start my new early morning workout regime and I plan on continuing…
