Good job koogra, hope to catch up to you, I am at 47 days... feel better every day. If you want to quit, You have to want it, and not accept you smoke any more... I am using the patch, I believe it has helped me... will let you know when I am cold turkey from that- about another month.

I work shift work also, it is tough at times. Graveyards, I try to drink lots of fluids and stick to healthy choices, getting enuf sleep is important too.

I cook for 1 always (unless I'm at work~where I cook for children/families.) What I like to do is cook a few chicken breasts at a time and then they are ready for salads or with rice or veggies ..so cook 1 nite..eat for 2-3 nites.

I agree salt is hard...how do you eliminate it in prepared foods? Do you believe salt makes you gain weight?

I am 5 ft 1.5 inches ( gotta add that 1/2). Current weight is 128 lbs, and I am 48 yrs old. I would like to get down to 110-115 lbs, and also have more muscle and be more fit. I've lost about 5 lbs so far, so hope I can continue to loose and feel better. Would like to find someone similar to me to add as friends. T

I quit Dec 31...1 month down...a lifetime to go. Doing good, using the patch and gum occasionally...use exercise as my new crutch :-)

I've had Quinoa twice, both recipes were delicious, didnt realize how good it was. 1) greek salad ingredients with quinoa 2) turkey stuffing made with quinoa and cranberries- wow.. that was comfort food.

3-4-5 Diet Thats sounds good... do you know if it makes much difference if you do your excercises ( for burning calories) after breakfast or after lunch..? I've heard before bed not good, but nothing else..... I try to spread it out in spits and spurts throughout the day....when I can.

I have no diet I follow, except, try to keep away from white stuff ( flour, sugar, rice, potatoes, bread..etc) and I am only having 1200 calories aday.... try to really eat healthy.
