Yes... like I said, I'm aware it's bad. That really wasn't what I was getting at though. But I promise you I won't eat the entire tub. ;) haha.

I've heard lot's of different ideas around this, but what do you think is better.... to do cardio before weights or after? And this is if you aren't trying to "build" muscle as much as you're trying to burn fat and get tone.

So I've had this strange question floating around in my head since I was little and I thought I'd ask your thoughts on it. Perhaps this is the wrong category for it as it is pretty much the opposite of good nutrition, but there really isn't an area for how to consume bad foods. ;) Here it is: I'm wondering if you bought…

It's because MFP already factors your deficit in. So it's there regardless of exercise. Any exercise done is then, therefore, exceeding the suggested deficit which is already factored in. I agree with eating at least some of your exercise calories back. I don't know about all of them. I mean the other day I literally ended…

I'm no expert on the topic, but it kind of depends on what you're going for. Soda in general is just not good for you, but I happen to love it myself. Most nutritionists (that I've met thus far) would say go with regular soda. I just signed on for the first time with a personal trainer. I did a lot of research to get…

It's not a dumb question and I am still not convinced entirely.... But what I can say is that MFP already factors in your deficit. So if you go to "my home" and then to "goals," you'll see calories consumed from regular activity. Then below it, you'll see a smaller number which is the amount of calories you should be…

I have had similar questions about the accuracy of these watches. I have sometimes felt like it says I have burnt more calories than I felt I did. The first time I used it, I did the elliptical for 20 min with an average heart rate of 173 (my max is 192) and it said I burnt 373 calories. I'd love to know how accurate these…

Banks - Thanks for your reply. No I didn't set my goal as 2 lbs a week. I actually didn't set a time to achieve this goal. I think perhaps I should add a little more information about myself here. I haven't been on a long journey like a lot of people here. These are my last and first 10 lbs. And really, I don't know that…

I just found a site that supposedly calculates AMR. It says that with my BMR and AMR combined that if I were to just sit around the house all day watching TV that I would burn 2638 calories. That seems WAY high. That means that I could eat a 2000 calorie diet and STILL lose a pound a week. Just thought I'd add this to my…

Yes I understand that BMR is when you are laying down, but considering the information MFP takes... it seems like they are factoring in some activity. How do I calculate how many calories I burn during an average day without exercise? I use a monitor during exercise and I do pretty hard workouts, approaching 90% of my max…

Hi all.... Where does it say you should be eating all of these calories back? I can easily burn 900 calories in a workout and to say that I am going to eat 2100 calories a day seems crazy. I would gain weight for sure. Right now I have eaten almost 1400 and I'm stuffed to the brim. I have been doing a lot of reading on…
