wrap them in a damp paper towel and they'll stay fresh and green for about 2 days

lol..did I mention I'm dyslexic and hopeless with numbers? :blushing: you lost me at 40 percent and 600 cals!! thanks for trying though.

maybe I'm too trusting!? when I say I was recommended to eat x amount of protein..that's what my MFP golas were set out. Now I look at them they seem way out of whack. for 1500 cals, i've been "allocated" 206 ( assume grams?) of carbs and only 56 of protein. any suggestions on how to even those up?
-
Oh..that's so clever! I'll try that, thanks :flowerforyou:
-
thanks for all your help people. It didn't seem to make any sense- especially as I'm only eating lean protein too. Having spent years trying to lose weight and MFP has confirmed what I always knew really....that I never eat enough so my metabolism is shot. I naturally have a very small appetitie and not hugely interested…
-
wow...thanks for that! you've been reallly successful. I actually decided to go it alone and just cook and eat fresh food. I've never been a ready meal type and was craving fresh food, and I like cooking. I also got extremely disheartend when I ended up with only 3 different main meals for 30 days

 failing miserably! haven't shredded since thursday...I'm doomed. Last night I decided to move my furniture around to see if I coulf squeeze enough space to shred in my room. Getting up at 5.30 was just wiping me out. So, moved my bed and a leg fell off...took the mattress off, turned the bed over and discovered…

OMG....you've lost 6 inches off your waist??? that's amazing. I've been so slack. Went away for the weekend so I've done NOTHING since Thursday...and haven't even started level 2 yet. Just got back now and so tired, can't see myself getting up at 5.30 to shred before work and that's the only time I can get to do it. I did…

Thanks..for what it's worth i DID say in my original post that I was STOPPING diet chef and that I wasn't in the habit of eating ready meals or biscuits prior to starting it. Get the impression that everyone IGNORED that and dived straight in to tell me what a muppet I am :explode: I've never eaten very much, I have a…

anything added as quick calories are vegetables and salad!! I'm vegetarian so if I had to count every bean of leaf of spinach I ate to log them, I'd go crazy. So far this week, I've eaten 2 heads of broccoli, 3 packets of green beans, 2 packets of asparagus, 3 bags of spinach, 2 lettuces, 2 cucumbers and a punnet of…

THANK YOU so much..all of you. I'm so glad I posted now. I'm so ****** full of myself most of the time and genuinely convinced I eat well and healthily when the big fat truth is screaming at me from the mirror  I will take on board everything that's been said (anyone want a month's supply of diet chef  ) and…

scary huh?

oops...actually I drink loads and loads...just not good at adding it. i checked my sodium and it always seems to say I have loads "remaining" but will keep an eye on it, thanks...off to get another glass (my 5th of the day!) right now
-
thanks..most of my remaining calories are from exercise so I try not to eat them. Before I started "dieting", i hardly ate anything and realise now that I was probably eating around 800/900 cals a day so getting up to 1500 has been quite a struggle. I still can't quite believe that I have to eat so much more to lose…

OMG: thank you!! I'm so pious about my low sugar habits, i never even thought to track it. I've JUST added it to my tracked nutrients and looked back at the last few days and each day I've been over. You see...sometimes you really can't see what's in front of you. Think I'll bin those cookies, shakes and yoghurts. feel…
-
thanks...actually I'm really careful about sugar. don't particularly like sweet things and apart from my one cup of coffee a day ( 1 brown sugar), I don't add sugar to anything and don't eat processed food. I rarely eat the shakes as they don't fill me up and as i'm vegetarian, I can make a pretty decent, filling meal for…

hey...we brits are taking over  ! I joined a few weeks ago and was convinced I was the only one for a while...can't say my weightloss is too impressive just yet so afraid I have no words of wisdom for you....but wouldn't mind knowing your secrets!! you've done amazingly well.
-
OMG: you don't look like the same person. congrats: you must have worked really hard

was looking forward ro level 2 but never managed to hold a "plank" position in my life :blushing: I'm going away this weekend so maybe I'll wait til Monday to start level 2. I think shred= clumsiness. i fell into a picture the other night ( my landlord been promising to hang it for 5 months!!!), shattered glass everywhere…

don't know if you can get them where you are but look for NK'D bars. they do a cocoa loco flavour and they're super healthy. made from raw cocoa so taste really chocolatey, they also have nuts in...everything thing in them is natural and totally unprocessed. they're 100 cals a bar and really filling
-
lol....you misunderstood. good god,not superwoman! I'm, a nanny so I look after the twins 11 hrs a day. I don't work 11 hrs and then go home to them
-
feel completely humbled now :blushing: I wish you all the best...let us know when you and your very brave daughter are racing each other in the park1
-
hey, thanks for the advice- the last thing I need is for my metabolism to slow down!! I'll look out for the real stuff.
-
just saw what I wrote...I don't have THAT much willpower  I meant I wasn't going to measure myself til the end....weigh myself weekly.
-
hey there, I have the same problem ( with the exception of today for some reason)...I've found nuts are a good way to boost my calorie intake. A handful ( 15 or so) of almonds is around 150 cals. Its good protein, healthy fat and doesn't make you feel like you've over eaten.
-
like the sound of that...a plausible excuse, also trying not to weigh myself until the end: it's just before I go on holiday
-
hey, thanks Jess...I just googled and it seems that it was available and now isn't. Maybe it wasn't as successful here?
-
patronise me much? try working 12 hours a day with a 3 hr round commute and see how much time you have to cook. how rude!!!

OMG: I'm in the UK, never heard of this, didn't know it existed but it sounds so good I think I miss it! was reading through this thinking I don't really have to give anything up. My problem is I wasn't eating enough and was gaining weight accordingly. I don't eat meat, wheat or dairy too much, never liked junk…
