I actually have to work that evening, but my boyfriend is taking me out the next day..we are going to Applebee's for lunch..have you seen their new commercials? I am sure I can order something fairly healthy, although I think Applebees has always done better at those menu options than a lot of restaurants. Also, if we do…

I was involved in an Adult Fitness program at our local hospital in January. I don;t think I will have the funds to do it in Feb. But my trainer had me doing cardio on Tues/Thurs and weight/strength training on M/W/F. I took Saturdays off (due to my job) and then on Sundays..I go out walking or use my home equipment…

I wish I could give you advice, but feel I am in the same boat. I am 49..been working out 6 days a week since the first of the year. I signed up for an adult fitness program at our local hospital, I have a trainer. I am doing cardio 3 days a week and weight training 3 days a week..and taking 1 day off. I am consuming…

I am 49 years old....I am aiming to lose 40 lbs this year.

I make a whey protein shake (wal mart) made with 1 cup skim milk and a banana..throw all in blender together. I have this everyday after my workout when I get back home. My trainer said I need the protein to help my muscles recover from the workout.

For ME..(I have no idea about others) I have to eat before AND after..otherwise I get really dizzy. Before going to work out I might have: 2 eggs scrambled with cut up turkey added toward the end and a bit of finely shredded cheese on top and drink 8 oz of skim milk. Then my "after" is a whey protein shake (wal mart) made…

A really good at home program is Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds... Hang in there!

I am sorry honey, I think that is just an excuse. If he loved you, he wouldn't have left you, he would be by your side motivating you! What a blow to your self esteem. you have to do this for YOURSELF no one else. YOU come first..to hell with him. If there is anything I can do to help..left me know.

I am working out 5 days/week. On Mon/Wed/Fri I do 1 hour of cardio which for me is 30 min on the treadmill and 30 min on the elliptical. On Tues & Thurs I do a weight/strength training program on a circuit. I go through it twice..burns 600 calories. I work the week ends, so on Sat I do some light yoga mostly for the…

So don't watch it. I love the show...I cannot imagine being that overweight and in such poor health and working out for 6 hours a day. I like to watch the show to remind myself to quit whining when I have to go to the gym for 2 hours.

well said...

I am working with a personal trainer. I told her I would "like" to lose 5lbs/month. She told me to keep my calorie count under 1,400/day and close to 1,200 is better.

I am on my 2nd week of a workout program with a trainer. It has taken me until today to figure this out (as far as food goes). Today I had (pre-workout) 2 scrambled eggs with diced turkey and a bit of shredded cheese on top and 1 cup skim milk. (post-workout) a whey protein shake mix made with 1 cup skim milk and a banana…

I have a Sportline. The reason I bought it is because it was the only one our local Wal Mart had. Happily, I discovered that when I go work out at the gym..it syncs up with the treadmill and also the elliptical, displaying my heartrate and calorie burn. I think I paid "around" $50 for it and have had it for over a year…

Just a picture someone took of me..Had it saved in my picture file on my computer...

That is almost exactly what my trainer said!

I am going to try the shake route. And I am glad to know it is normal for me to get so hungry after my work out..thanks!

You guys have really come through for me! Thanks ever so much! I visited with my trainer before leaving today..she looked over the food diary I did on this site (printed off). Gave me good sensible advice. I did get dizzy today a few times. I bought some lean turkey, a can of almonds, eggs to boil, and whey protein shake…
