Your skin is young, it will bounce back nicely given TIME and if you lose weight slowly, plus exercise and keep the blood flowing to it with exercise, weight training etc. I lost 100 pounds when I was that age (ok, almost 100, more like 92) and i had NO loose skin at all, after a year around that. Now, I worry, but I am…

I think we need to listen to our bodies. I have a totally different set of metabolic strengths and weaknesses than the rest of my immediate family. I had PCOS before, and suffered from hyperthyroid rebound hypothyroid after my son was born 7 years ago. Now, my metabolism is slow as sin. I call myself a slow burner for lack…

It's way too late for an answer, but I will answer anyway :D Best thing: huge database of items - there are are tons of places I love certain features of better than MFP but this place makes it so easy to eat just about anything, and SOMEONE has usually already entered it. That makes it super convenient and saves a lot of…

definitely peel and freeze. They make wonderful smoothies this way! (or semi-soft "ice cream" if you have a strong enough blender and can mix with cocoa etc.) chunks dipped into chocolate and kept frozen are also pretty good if you want a sweet/chocolate fix with less of the chocolate :)

Short answer is yes, of course. :) Anything that you eat consistently, you will soon become accustomed to in time. I hated Greens+ when I first tried it 7-8 years ago, and I adore it now. If I don't have it, I miss it! Junk food is heavily seasoned (and yummy) to disguise low-quality food (usually). It HAS to taste good,…

There are days that I simply can't stomach the thought of sitting down and eating a huge serving of vegetables...those are the days that I add 3 cups of dark leafy greens to a protein smoothie. Easy way to have it almost (taste-wise) undetectable. It really makes the colour look gross, but you honestly can't taste it with…

if you have a local body-builder supply store they often have single-packs of different proteins that you can buy. A lot of what I love (or don't!) about protein powders (personally) is whether they mix easily without a blender and their "tongue feel" (some are just gritty and disgusting even though the flavour is…

If you spend your time living your life to the fullest, doing all the things you want to do, chances are good you will meet people who share the same interests that way. But if your MAIN thing is gaming, chances are good you won't meet anyone since (unless its an online thing of course) it is a pretty solitary pursuit. :)…

My advice would be pretty simple: Get yourself a healthy goal calorie wise that always meets your bodies basic needs, and stick to it. Give yourself nutrient goals (positive ones, like a certain number grams of protein, which your body needs) and stick with it. And remember that it is what you do on AVERAGE that ends up…

I gained back mine too. :( So I feel your pain. Now I am ONLY eating back my calories if NOT doing so would drop me under my BMR. Honestly, I am MUCH better liking this: figure out my TDEE (average, by week divided by 7 as I am pretty much a lazy bum on weekends) and then just eat for that daily while trying to meet my…

Beauty is a mean business, as soon as you put yourself out there and flaunt whatever it is you have, someone will shoot you down. It;s like a sick ying-yang societal balance for psychological complexes or something. Kate Moss = too thin = Ewwwww. Kate Upton=too curvy=ewwww. No wonder the rest of us are confused lol She is…

best snacking deterrent ever. I'm good, thanks. *runs*

I think your own history of disordered eating may (may) be making the situation a little skewed for you, if you don't mind my honesty. If his weight is normal, I would simply make sure you only have healthy foods in the house and just monitor. Getting up and eating food at night is not "stealing" unless he breaks a lock or…

< I'll let Tim Minchin do my talking for me :) http://youtu.be/IZ9_Jba_PcY edit: if you have issues with the odd swearing, perhaps don't copy/paste the link :P

UNDENIABLE difference, you have been working hard and it shows! Looking fabulous!!

Younger, I'm 40 people usually think late twenties (I'd be happy with 35 lol)

Truth. The idea that your stomach is large or even that you have an apple is, if it ever was true, not at all true now. Sometimes what we see in the mirror and the reality are two different things. What I honestly think for you is a) yes weight training, which will make you strong inside and out, but also b) stop thinking…

Got the game and have enjoyed the beta's thus far. Patiently (!!) waiting. :)

I would just assure your partner (or just remind yourself) of this: The happier you are in your body and in your life, the more fully present you will be with them, and with other areas of your life. I don't know about you, but for me? The more miserable I am with my fitness and weight, the more it becomes this dark shadow…

I feel your pain, in the humid heat here in the summer I have to shampoo my hair daily without fail, for me not so much because it LOOKS oily but the roots end up looking way darker because of the oil than the ends (I have strawberry blonde hair that decides to try a dark blonde look at the roots when I exercise or it gets…

I think it depends on the person, for some people simply staying WITHIN their calories is amazing and very difficult. So for them that IS a victory. Some people are simply not (and some may never care to be) at the macro-managing stage. We are all at different stages of our journeys and even on very different journeys.…

She likely won't be fired. Rarely is a first offense of this nature due cause for dismissal. Actions do unfortunately have consequences though, and she as an adult should be aware of that. Why flies on a forum doesn't tend to fly when your companies reputation is on the line, fair or not.

Obviously she thinks that potentially losing her job for being unprofessional and rude is also sexy, so I would take anything she said with a grain of salt. Now, saying that, I would speak with management also, personally and do so with as much direct and yet polite and professional dignity as possible. The sales clerk not…

Nah, why would wanting to finally celebrate something that is important to you both be tacky? Tacky, in my opinion, is suggesting that it would be so, actually. Celebrate your life the way you want without care to how other people interpret it. Even IF you wanted a big dress, a big attitude, a big party and a big scene =)…

I wear two. Regular bra (no wire) under a tight sports bra. Only way they keep working for me. I wear mine out way too easily to wear just a sports bra. This also helps for yoga so I don't choke myself during shoulder stands :P I SO hope I shrink EVERYWHERE as I lose weight =) I will look into those Enell or Shock Absorber…

I would suggest a good pair of shoes, just walking (short distances first, with a ramp up each week) and perhaps something like yoga or stretching, as it will prevent a lot of stiffness and potentially injuries also. Agreed, swimming is also great if you are ok with that. Just know that every light to moderate activity you…

Ha! That sounds like fun! What a great idea =) I'm just back to RIFT, soloing my time away with the ever-changing rogue character. I'm a complete alt-addict and you made me realize I don't have a dwarf. Pardon me, I need to head in game for a moment :P RIFT is actually an amazing and beautiful game, and I have played a lot…
-
Oh that is actually tempting, esp since casual is ok (some places it totally isn't and unfortunately I just can't schedule my game time like I used to be able to *sigh* lol) but very tempting!! I'm currently back playing RIFT atm, but will ponder it =) Cool idea, even if you *are* Alliance ;) I jest, I jest!

Level 19 Ranger, but I have to admit I also have Warrior, Mage and Cleric alts =D Which, strangely enough, is also true of me in mmorpg: Alt-o-holic, but usually a rogue class is my main =) ((Especially in RPGs if there is pickpocketing and stuff like lockpicking --- all that adrenaline! ) That was fun, thanks!
