OMG what a horrific story, glad you are OK !

I look more like my dad than my mother, who is gorgeous. So indirectly yes! As soon as they see me they say I look like my dad. My sisters take after my mother. Pretty hard to hear when I was growing up.

Good for you!

Ice cream....I once got out bed changed, got in my care and drove to CVS in winter in Ohio to buy a pint of Haagen Dazs. And then ate it all in one sitting. Yes I am now in recovery. I am working off ice cream from 2008. It so wasn't worth :frown: it.

Great work, you earned it!

Nothing is bad in moderation.

I try to remember past successes and how good I felt about myself at the time, then try to anticipate the same feeling towards the goal I am working on. Laughing is also a wonderful way to get over it and lose a few calories.

 Welcome! Remember consistency is the important thing.

Oatmeal for me. Quaker is my favorite brand. Sometimes I add fresh blueberries, strawberries, diced apples, bananas. Sometimes cashews, almonds or walnuts. For real indulgence plain Greek yogurt and honey. I don't need to snack between breakfast and lunch when I have oatmeal.

Hope you that you have better and greater things in store this new year. Keep your head up and take it slow on day at a time. That is how I did it the first time. Feeling lighter and healthier will improve your life immensely.
