• I would love to swim (the podiatrist recommended it), but I don't have access to a pool. I haven't tried one of those lamps, but I've never had trouble with seasonal depression. I don't tolerate heat well and being in the sun too much makes me ill, so I actually prefer fall and winter because of the cooler temperatures. I…
• I take medication and see my therapist once a month (seeing her on Monday), so we've been keeping an eye on it. There is the option of adding another medication to help give me a boost for a little while, but I can't take very many kinds of medications because I tend to have very strong and strange reactions ("unusual…
• Each day is a new day. It was a hard lesson for me to learn (uber perfectionist, table for one please), but you have to take each day as a new start. It doesn't matter what you did yesterday. So, your workout wasn't that great? Do a better one today. Ate some crap you shouldn't have? Eat better today. That has been the key…
• I hit the heaviest I have ever been (280lb) last year, turned 30, had a major existential crisis, and completely changed my life. I started my journey January, 2014. I'm 5'5" SW: 280 CW: 194.2 GW: 145
• Update Currently 194.2, Shirts L-M, 16/14 (depending on style and brand), Pants 14/M
• 5'5" SW 280 CW 194.2 GW 145 Photos and updates posted on discussion board: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1335945/70-lb-down-65-lb-to-go/p1
• I'm a numbers person, so I was doing some calculations yesterday. I started 9 months ago, so I guess this is my rebirth: Starting BMI: 46.6 Current BMI: 32.6 Total inches lost: 32.5 (including 13" off my waist, and 7" off my hips!)
• Baconboobies, love the pic on your ticker. One of my running mantras is "Run so you can keep up with the Doctor." :)
• Thanks for the support everyone!
• Wanted to update my pics. About 11 lb difference between the 2nd and 3rd/4th. The biggest difference is that I am below 200 for the first time in years - 198.8, so just barely, but I'll take it. :) Also, the black shirt I'm wearing in the last two pics is a Medium!
• Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the encouragement!
• 5'5" 280lb in the first pic. 210lb in the second.
• Awesome! Congrats. :D
• My nose. I absolutely hate my nose. Always have. I've tried to get over it, but I can't manage to convince myself to like it. :/
• Thanks to everyone for the encouragement! I am only 10 lb from being halfway to my goal. This is the smallest I have been in 5 years, and I am loving how much easier it is to be active. Started running again, yoga is easier, started lifting again. It was time for a life change, and I am determined to make that change and…
• Started the week after christmas. As of yesterday, 52 lb lost in roughly 4 1/2 months.
• My mom noticed but didn't say anything at first. We have both had weight struggles (a lot of my issues stemming from what I learned from her). So far, no one at work has said anything, and I work with 130 women, so weight gain/loss is usually commented on. :/
• I was diagnosed Bipolar II last november, although I have been dealing with it since I was in middle school and just didn't know what the problem was. I am lucky that Lamictal is working wonderfully for me. That is the only med I am on, and I feel better than I ever have in my entire life. It has evened out my moods which…
• In the past year, I was diagnosed as an Aspie and also with Bipolar II. I'm on meds for the BP, and they are helping a lot. I also have previous diagnoses of OCD and PTSD. If you are ever in need of encouragement, feel free to message me. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
• Hi, I joined MFP in the end of December, and I am determined to change my life. I was diagnosed last fall with Bipolar II and started on medication. It has made a tremendous difference and helped me to finally be successful at getting healthier, more active, and losing weight. My husband is very supportive as well.
