I just want to say that I hate "studies" like this. The article doesnt say where the health prof teaches, who his collegues are, what the goal of the study was, who their control group was, what they mean by "risk of death"...etc etc

I think being healthy and passing my biometric screening next year will be enough. I think I may also incorporate some fitness goals…

You guys are so kind, I was VERY, VERY nervous after I hit the send button. I went to have my biometric screening done and the nurse told me to be careful and to really watch my weight, that was about 15lbs and 6 months ago...Now to tone up!

Thank you for the replys. The apps on my phone tell me my bf% is around 23-24% (using weight, height, and my 30in waist), and my BMI is around 23. These numbers may seem small but remember, I'm close to little person height....

Thanks! That was what I was thinking. It's been run through a factory, disinfected, and sealed for years of freshness....can't be "clean" lol No stress here. I love the stuff and buy it in bulk :) I just think too much. Thanks for your respose!

If you've hit a plateau, try breaking up your three meals into 5-6 meals.

It sounds stupid, but my non-scale goal is to be lean enough to see my armpit, you know, slightly concaved when you put your hand on your hips... not just fat rolls. Another goal of mine is to wear shorts without them riding up my crotch because my thighs bang together and force my shorts upwards. gross...sorry...

I've been proactively thinking about how to overcome plateaus. I havent reached one yet but I just dropped a nice chunk of weight and I can feel the weght loss tapering off... I'm waiting for a plateau before starting the 30 day shred, and I may try a weekend juice diet if I plateau a second time.

My Fiance and I are losing weight together. It's wonderful to have someone to walk/jog/bike with. He's much stronger at resisting temptation than me so it's also nice to have an actual person ask me if I'm "really going to eat that crap". He keeps me going, and he even suggested a juice fast! God I love him!

I live in a large city and walk all the time. I try for at least 5miles a day (broken out between prework, lunch, and after work). I've been doinig this for years. I keep my activity level at Sedatary and log all my walking. I just like to see that I've done something though. Logging the walks feels nice!

Try putting one of your scales in the exact spot your other scale is currently in, and try again. Maybe the floor is warping the readings....I can't keep a scale in my basement bathroom because the floor is slightly uneven, maybe you have a similar situation?
