why is it that pumpkin seeds are so concentrated with calories>!?!!? I put onion and garlic powder on them and thought I was making a beautiful and healthy snack! I got blind sided by the calories!

Nuts and seeds have lots of naturally occurring fat/oil. They're still good for you, though!

Imagine how many calories a human would have to pack into their embryonic fluid if we didn't have internal gestation. Seeds are high in calories because they provide all of the nutrients that are needed for a plant to initiate life.

On the bright side, they truly are jam packed with goodness, so enjoy in moderation!

    Please. Don't. Feel. Guilty.

Pumpkin seeds are a natural whole food. They provide nutrients and vitamins. They are a much better snack than something that is processed that comes in a package.

Just log them by measuring how many you ate and keep them on hand for a healthy snack.

PLEASE do not beat yourself up over this type of food.

Don't let that stop you from eating them! I add them to my salads with other types of seeds like sunflower and hemp seeds! Soooo healthy for you! They're worth every calorie!

It was a healthy snack. It was also a calorie dense one. High calorie does not mean unhealthy.

One serving has 25% of your iron! Well, raw pumpkin seeds do anyway. It's sooooo worth the calories!
