I rang the Council and said: "I want a skip outside my house." The man said: "Well, I'm not stopping you."

This seems to be working for me, too. Up until a month ago, I'd lost 23lbs by eating on average 1200 cals. Suddenly became much hungrier and felt I needed to eat at tdee (about 1450). Weight stayed steady for a couple of weeks. Last week decided to go up to 1800 (want to go up as far as possible and still maintain, because…

Trying to work out how many calories I can eat and still maintain. Lost 23lbs up to a fortnight ago eating c. 1200/day. Since then felt the need to eat more, and gained about a pound back. Have added up all my calories eaten during the last week and found an average of 1680/day. Also weighed every day and have pretty much…

I had something similar this morning. Don't usually do much exercise, but on Saturday and Sunday I did a 60 and 90-minute walk respectively (and ate reasonably within calorie limits) Weighed this morning and was 2lbs heavier than on Saturday! Let's hope it disappears again (also trying to lose last 10lbs)

Me too! Just been around my favourite charity shops and bought 3 pairs of size 12 (UK) jeans/trousers - and I can do them up and walk in them!! Went home and had a big try-on of all the trousers in the house. Discovered that lots now fit me that didn't before, and some are too big now and I'm throwing them out! Really…

You can do it!

I'll do this too for May. SW 155 CW 132 (28 April) GW 127 UTG: 126?

I'm just under 5ft 4ins. Start weight 155, goal weight (at the moment) 126.

I started here on Jan 9th, start weight 155lbs. I asked mfp for a 2lb a week loss, but it gave me 1200 calories (+ about 1/2 lb per week), as that's the lowest it will give you. Eating 1200 calories, fairly consistently, from the start, and with minimal exercise (not good, I know!), I've lost 23lbs so far. 16lbs of that…

You can still have any of these things. They just need to be fitted into your calorie count for the day/week. It's hard at the beginning not to have something you crave every day, but the longer you eat less, and eat healthily, the less desire you'll have to eat the more unhealthy stuff. You may find you'll lose quite fast…

I'd also agree that it's possible to lose the weight mostly by diet. I've lost 22lbs in 14 weeks on here (start weight 155), during which time the most exercise I've done has been a 30-60 minute walk every so often (not anything like 3 times a week!) Also I have a bit of arthritis in my hip which doesn't help with walking…

I'm 5ft 3ish, started at 155 beginning of this year, now 134. I've set my goal to 126 at the moment. Would like to be around 120 but not sure that's going to happen!

Prepping lessons for next week!

Traditional roast lamb. Because I've had to work in Easter breakfast at church and part of my Easter egg, I ate about 250 cals worth of dinner, and the rest of my allowance today is saved to continue with the chocolate!

Absolutely brilliant!! Enjoy!!

When I have the urge to eat eggs, I will eat 2 or 3 whole ones, soft-boiled, with a teaspoon of real butter. It's very satisfying!

I'm 5ft 31/2 and 56 years old. I started here on January 9th (weight 155) and lost 9lbs in Jan, 6 in Feb, and 3 in March (now 136). My present goal is 130. I'm hoping for about a 3lb loss in April. Changed my target loss to 1/2lb per week and got 1270 calories instead of 1200. However, March wasn't a good month as I had…

How can you think of playing a game this weekend? I've just had pleurisy, and even that took me a good 3 weeks to get over. Have a rest while you're entitled to it!

I'm 5.31/2, started at 155lbs and my goal weight is 130. I started on January 9th this year, and was eating 1200 cals up until about the last 3 weeks, when they crept up to around 1400. Also had a couple of spike days (around 2000) in the last fortnight. Recently reset to lose 1/2lb a week instead of 1lb (my calories are…
